I went to staples and tried this plan and it’s not at all what it says. There’s no 0% plan at all, no matter what income or credit score you have it always comes to 9.99% and from the staples rep who helped me he said he never seen anyone get approved for 0%. They don’t even run credit check before approving or declining the plan “ you’re always approved”. You don’t get any advantage if the item you want on sale it still come to full price with that plan, I was going for MacBook Air 15” M2 which is currently on sale at staples Canada for $1499 but when the rep ring it through Apple flex plan it comes to full price $1750 and there’s no way to change that, called RBC the loan holder and they said just purchase and in a few days the price will adjust on its own “can’t confirm”. Open box items also the rep can’t lower the price as it still go through as full price. The rep who was helping he’s the assistant manager in the store and it’s busy location he said he himself do this plan 4-5 times a week and he never seen 0% regardless of any factor. I end up not getting the plan and will just purchase cash. Hope this information is helpful to anyone looking for details on this flex plan. More on reddit.com

Does ANYONE have an answer for why some customer's credit cards don't work on self-serve printers and some do? This used to only be an issue with very odd third-party cards cashapp cards etc. but lately it seems like customers are having their cards denied by our self service machines for no reason whatsoever even though they're legitimate visa etc. cards and are accepted by our normal registers. It's getting to the point of infuriating because I'll have customers flip out about why they aren't able to pay with their card on the self-service machines and then turn around and demand I run their order because they don't want to load a cash card instead. I don't know what to tell people who are having their cards declined because it seems like the fault of our system rather than their cards otherwise their cards wouldn't work at the register either.

Our GM just makes us use the POTD to bypass it. We also have tons of people without cards asking us to use the password. Just another thing constantly pulling me away to go waste time on these helpless baby customers. I tell every single one that it will print out a sheet to take to a cashier but about half of them just walk out without paying.

Looking for Opinions on Staples new flexplan for purchasing apple products. It’s pretty new and I can’t find any reviews. I Read the fine print and it seems good? I was approved for the full amount and 0% interest. Seems like a great way to buy now and upgrade after three years if needed.

I don’t immediately see any red flags. My question would be total cost of ownership if you plan to keep the device longer than 2/3 years. I would wonder what the buyout or remaining finance rate would be. I would want to see that spelled out in writing (not just taken on the word of a random staples employee).
