So I've had a king size split bed for awhile now. I like the individual control, however, I don't like that the split in the middle really gets in the way of cuddling and activities. Was wondering if anyone has recommendations as to what they use to fill in the gap from time to time aside from just a blanket or pillow
I really wish sleepnumber had a perfect formed foam cutout I guess

One solution that will allow you to still individually move your sides would be to use a flex top or solid Sleep Number sheet set. It will keep you from falling in the gap, but still allow movement. I have some customers who also use a flextop or solid topper or mattress, pad and sheet, however the more layers on top tomorrow awkward individual movement might be. The good thing is that with these solutions, you are not forcing more into the split, and as needs change, or as you figure out how to cuddle or have activities side to side they can be removed.

Go on Amazon and look up something called a bed bridge. This has helped a ton of my customers and may be a good fit got you.

Being able to raise head/foot separately (for each side) is kind of nice/convenient, especially if one person has some kind of body aches/pains/snoring/congestion/etc, but the split in the middle is a little annoying when you want to be close together. We're thinking of moving the bed to a guest room and have it be 2 individual beds with a nightstand between the two. Not sure what we'll look into next but it won't be Sleep Number nor TempurPedic (already tried that one...wife didn't like it).

Considering a split king option and wondering how Tempurpedics hold together. They seem like pretty heavy/solid mattresses.
Also, do people use two twin sheet sets? I imagine tucking sheets between the crack in the middle each day can cause separation no? How do you make the bed?

If you lay in the middle.. they will 100% slide apart. Otherwise not so much from my experience. But there are things that can be done to mitigate any sort of sliding. As for sheets.. you want to buy what is called a split king sheet set. It's 2 fitted sheets, 1 top sheet, and 2 pillow cases. It makes it so when you make your bed it looks like a normal one piece.

Hi, me and my wife purchased a split king size tempur-pedic mattress with adjustable tempur-pedic bed frame and now we are having trouble finding furniture set to go along with it. I know we can buy a headboard and attach that so the back but is that the only option? Any suggestions

Trust me, skip the all-in-one sets. Here's what works: Platform base & headboard: Look for a split king platform base online (Amazon has tons). This is the moneymaker - hides your adjustable base and adds storage! Headboard only (optional): If storage isn't a must, a headboard can still look sharp. Avoid two twin XL beds - looks janky and creates a gap. Measure your space before buying! I hope this helps.

So if we get that base how does the frame connect? We have something similar and got an adjustable Base, took out the slats and my husband thinks you still have to have the bar going across the frame and the base won’t fit.
