I purchased a new car and my title complete notice never came, I looked it up on the DMV and it says the title is processed and I got my title # from their site. The issue is— The website prompts me to enter the letter ID of the title complete notice, which I do not have. Who would I call to get it or how can I register without it? My temporary tags expired a few weeks ago and I really don’t like driving with expired tags.
How long after submitting payment did your permanent license plates take to arrive by mail? DMV says “up to 21 days”. Our temps expire over the Holiday weekend and we’ll be heading out to Teton (Wyoming) on expired tags. Dealer can’t issue new temps because the Title is registered to Denver. A friend at work said hers were delivered in a week. What’re the odds? We plan to bring the notice and proof of payment/confirmation and will eat the ticket if needed but wondering if anyone else has had a shorter than expected delivery timeframe? TIA!
I recently bought a car from a dealership. The DMV website says I need to have a title complete notice that I received in the mail. For people who have done this recently how long did it take to get this notice?
I bought a new car recently, and my temporary registration expires next week. I have not received any communication from the DMV regarding registration. It appears they were supposed to send a Title Complete Notice.... Curious if anyone else has received this after buying a new car.
<insert lapsed registration joke here>
I'm in Denver, and logged in and my Post Sale Dashboard reads:
" The Carvana Registration team has finished the required Title Application paperwork to transfer ownership of your vehicle and has sent this to your local county Motor Vehicle Office.
"Once your county office has completed its process, you will need to visit your local motor vehicle office to obtain the updated license plate. However, you must wait until Carvana has received confirmation that your county has completed the Title transfer paperwork. This typically takes 30 business days to finish. Upon completion, you will receive a Colorado Title Complete Notice in the mail that will contain your registration card. Please make sure to bring this in with you once received when you go to pick up your license plate.
"We will update here once we have received confirmation that your county is completed. However, if you would like to check the status yourself, you can visit https://mydmv.colorado.gov/_/ and select “Vehicle Service” then “Check A Title Status” to see the status of your Titling process. Please wait a few days for this site to update as the county will need to receive the Title Application in the mail from Carvana. If you have any additional questions, please contact your county office once your title has been processed."
Am I waiting for something in my mail before I go into the DMV or do I just need to make an appointment to go in?
Hi folks, my name's Paolo, I'm a reporter with Colorado Public Radio. I'm looking into the amount of vehicles with expired temporary plates, or no license plates at all for our Colorado Wonders series.
I'm looking to chat over the phone with people who have recently bought a new vehicle and have yet to obtain permanent plates. If that description fits you, feel free to DM me here, or email me at [email protected].
Thanks!
I have received my title (paid in full not lien) today, but I still did not get my title complete notice (the white postcard). Could I just go to the county dmv and register my car? It’s odd that they complete my title processing but lose/haven’t sent my title complete notice.
Thank you!
