This 8 piece tramontina tri-ply clad set is on sale for $269 CAD on Amazon, and I’m wondering if this is a decent set?? I’ve been using Heritage The Rock pans for the last 9 years and the non-stick coating is starting to wear off so looking to move into SS to avoid any forever chemicals. I’m not looking for a lifetime set, but if these could give me 5-10 years I’d be happy.

I have two relatively complete sets of cookware, a non-stick teflon set and Tramontina Stainless steel with aluminum sandwich and copper band. I’ve had it for about a decade and am well pleased with it.

I've been using a Tramontina gourmet stainless steel set that I found on sale at Walmart. It's been about 10 years or so and it still looks like new.

Does anyone have this for use on induction? Cooks Illustrated recommended it in 2009. It's also apparently only available at Walmart. I was going to get the Calphalon Tri Ply, or maybe the Emeril Clad, at BB&B, but this set has better sized pieces for less money. Thanks

December 4, 2012 - Their knives are junk. If you get it plan on taking it back and buying some calphalon , made here in ohio and truly warranted for life. Tramontina is decent but I saw it was made in china on the ones at my walmart. Stainless steel will stick unless you season then properly.

I would buy it. I have a tramontina set that came with a cast iron, Dutch oven, stock pot, two sauce pans, and a nonstick for $99, the only thing I’ve replaced is the nonstick. Tri ply isn’t as nice as all clad but it has worked for me.
