I recently was waiting for a refund and although I vividly remember selecting that I'd like for my refund to be refunded back to my card, but it went to my gift card balance.

Is it possible that I can buy something with that balance and then just cancel the order, having it refunded to a specific account? I don't use amazon enough to have a gift card at all.

Or is there any other way to have it refunded?

UPDATE: I have contacted amazon through the online customer service and they were able to send the refund to my personal account. I will leave this post up for anyone with a similar question in the future!

Anyone know if you paid part debit card and gift card you can get a full refund to your debit card?

After contacting customer service over and over and over, I finally got a person who was very straightforward and said they could transfer the balance to my card. I will check in a few days to update if it actually worked! They said it would take 3-5 business days.
