Which mattress is best for hot sleepers?
A surprising number of Canadians wake up too hot and sweaty. A mattress with cooling features can remove extra heat from the mattress and prevent heat from building up throughout the night. How often should you replace your mattress?
You should replace your mattress when it begins to sag, becomes uncomfortable, or no longer allows you to sleep comfortably. Usually, experts recommend replacing your mattress every 7 years or so, but a high-quality mattress may last longer. No matter how much time has passed, you should replace a mattress when you no longer sleep as well.
Which mattress is best at motion isolation?
Motion transfer can keep you up at night, particularly if your partner is often restless. Foam mattresses provide better motion isolation than hybrid or innerspring options. The Endy Mattress is the best option on our list for those who need to isolate motion from their partners. The open-cell design and dense foam layers provide better relief than other mattresses on our list.

Like many here, I’m doing a deep dive into mattress research before my next purchase. I’m primarily a side sleeper, have lower back pain and sleep hot. Good sleep is important to me so I don’t mind spending the money for the best I can find, I don’t however, want to spend extra bread unnecessarily. I’ve tried a handful of online quizzes and read some reviews with mixed results. Just about every brand has some sort of bad experience or negative review which is concerning. Sites like sleepopolis or naplab seem great but I noticed that they too are paid affiliates and push certain brands. Where can I go to get an unbiased review? If anyone has any recommendations I’m all ears.
