January 29, 2025 - When one ride closes, another new ride at Universal Studios opens! Universal Orlando announced the closure of Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit in September 2025. Although we are sad about this, we’re excited for what is to come.

16 hours ago - Wicked Comes to the Park – With the Wicked movies being everywhere this year, Universal Studios Florida added Wicked: The Experience. It’s a walkthrough where you can see actual costumes from the movie and walk through sets like Shiz University and the Emerald City. They even added a second “chapter” to the attraction on Halloween to match the second film. If you wanted to feel like you were in Oz, this was the place to do it. Goodbye to Rip Ride Rockit – Not everything was about new stuff, though.

October 10, 2025 - Discover all the details here! Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit Permanent Closure – The high-speed coaster at Universal Studios Florida has officially taken its final bow as of August 18, 2025.

May 22, 2025 - Universal says it's goal is to be "a weeklong vacation destination," much like its Orlando theme park competitor Walt Disney World, which has six theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, along with water parks Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon). Part of Universal's expansion also includes three new hotels: Universal Helios Grand Hotel, Universal Stella Nova Resort and Universal Terra Luna Resort, bringing its total to 11 hotels. ... Barracuda Strike - Opening in 2026, this will be the third installation of a Bolliger & Mabillard family inverted coaster at United Parks, following Phoenix Rising in Tampa in 2024 and Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf's Revenge in Williamsburg in 2025.
