UPS Online Shipping Calculator now requires a login to work
When calculating shipping for a large package, ebay shows a high max for UPS Ground ($208), but when I test zipcodes manually, USPS is on average more expensive. How can I know what zipcode is triggering a high max for UPS?

Have a buyer on the opposite coast interested in a dimensional weight/oversize parcel price tier item. Despite correct weight and dimensions in the listing, Ebay displays an astronomical shipping price.
I tried to get an estimate on UPS.com which I last used a few weeks ago. After investing time entering all of the information spread across 2 successive pages, it tells me I now need to log in "to view the most accurate pricing information." By this, they mean to view pricing information AT ALL. It then offers the option to use Google, Facebook, and a variety of other personal data hogging websites as an alternative to generating a UPS account.
I don't ship often with UPS and don't WANT another account and login in my online life, so guess who won't even be considering trying to ship this with UPS now?
This seems like an asinine policy decision. Wonder how the suits that decide such things figured this would somehow capture them more business than it turns away at the gate?
