Try a local "mom and pop" shipping store in NYC - they should have some. Make sure they are experienced with international shipments, including those to the EU. Don't go to a UPS Store or FedEx office, you'll have better luck with an independent owned store. It's okay if they are a "UPS Access Point" though. In fact, I'd first get the list of UPS Access Points, Authorized Shipping Outlets and UPS Authorized Service Providers in NYC (that are not also UPS Stores) and then check which of these are mom/pop independent shipping stores and then check their reviews with regarding to international shipments and go to the best one. It will be some work but it significantly increases your odds of a good outcome. Yes, UPS does charge a crazy brokerage fee (as well as DHL). I have seen them around $20-$40 depending on the item, country and cost. It is up to the buyer to pay these fees and you can’t be held responsible for them. However, do the brokerage fees (for this example lets say $20) and the pick up fee (say $15) if you are charging that to the buyer exceed the cost of shipping via USPS. One caveat is if USPS doesn’t ship to that country right now (ex: Australia) then no matter the cost it would have to go UPS. More on reddit.com
