So I have good USB-C headphone but all my devices use 3.5mm ports for headphones. When I search online, there are lots of adapters for the reverse situation, but I can't find anything that has a female USB-C port that leads to male 3.5mm head. Any ideas?

Your headphone using usb-c input means the headphone takes digital input and does all the D->A conversion inside the headphones. It makes no sense to plug that into a 3.5mm port, which is analog.

If you want to use with a pc. If you have a usb c headphone. Just get a usb c female to usb a adapter. It should work on a pc. But on tabs with 3.5mm and a usb port. Some will work with a usb c to micro usb adapters. If it already has usb c and 3.5mm. it will still work bias usb c.

Hey everyone,
So its no secret that lately smartphones have no headphone jack and come with USB-C type headphones. I happen to be one of those people who owns a phone without a headphone jack 3.5mm. Obviously, you can get the dongles that come as adapters with female type jack 3.5mm connector and USB-C type male connector. I was wondering if the reverse of that is available anywhere? (USB-C female to Jack 3.5 male adapter) I tend to use computers in the library at my university but what annoys me is that I have to take another pair of headphones just to use them on those PCs.
Although it is not a big issue it is still annoying. I can not seem to find any of those on the net so I'm thinking of attempting to make one myself. I would appreciate people who would like to help me in such type of project as I have a limited knowledge of PCB making (mechanical engineer here lol). Or maybe such adapter exists already so do let me know.
I suppose it can also be lightning female to jack male type adapter for apple users out there.

You would need active logic to pull that off, and you aren't going to do that with the voltages from a 3.5mm Jack. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B079LYHNSR/ You could use something like this. The headphones should show up as a separate audio device on the computer. However, this may but work if the computer is really locked down.

You might be out of luck, bud. Better off carrying a pair of regular earbuds. It’s much harder to get an analog signal into digital headphones than the other way around.
