so i recently got a new laptop and installed valorant i launched the game and to my surprise i got a message saying this version of vanguard requires a tpm level of 2.0 . i tried launching it again and got a different message saying this version of vanguard requires secure boot to be enabled i looked online and found out that i may or may not needed to go into my bios. im not much of a tech person and knowing that im a kid i cant afford a new laptop is there a way on how to do this without a risk of my computer breaking or maybe just an explanation of what tpm and secure boot are i would love to know. (if you would want any images of the error or anything else pls let me know)
how do you turn the secure boot on?
Hi kittyghoulz9783,
I'm Rodrigo and I will help you.
On the Start Menu type tmp.msc and press enter. Please send a screenshot to see your TPM status.
Again on the Start Menu type msinfo and press enter, send a screenshot of the System Information window to see your Secure Boot status and device information
I'm trying to play Valorant, but my system doesn't support TPM 2.0. I’ve checked the BIOS thoroughly and even updated it, but there’s still no option for TPM anywhere.
My specs:
-
CPU: Intel Core i7-8700T
-
RAM: 16GB DDR4
-
Motherboard: Unknown (I’m not sure of the model)
-
Actually my pc is an used hp office pc
I’ve tried everything I could find online, but no luck so far. Any help would be appreciated!
Edit- I found some information about my motherboard in system information
Bios version/Date- AMI F.55, 20-12-2024
Baseboard manufacturer and product- hp 843C
My pc name- HP 280 G4 MT Business pc
