Ok. Verizon has really doubled down on their promotional texts. I see the “get a free iPhone 13” as well as the “get $800 off a new iPhone 13” texts.
How much does this “free” phone actually cost? I’ve tried to find this on their site, but it’s nowhere to be found.
A friend said she did this promo and the phone was actually an $1600 phone so she still wound up with a payment plan for $800 after her trade in. Is that accurate? It seems possible since my iPhone 11 was $1200 through Verizon.

The base 128gb iPhone 13 is $800 The promo requires: you have a premium plan (play, do, get more) you trade an iPhone X or newer the cost of the phone is spread over 36 months and the discount is spread over 36 months So for a base iPhone 13, you are charged $22.22 each month and then credited back $22.22 each month for 36 months. If you want a different model (pro, pro max, more storage) you are paying the difference monthly.

I have an IPhone 13 that is pretty much trashed. Cracked back and water got inside. Still works for now but is acting weird and camera lens’s have moisture in them. Looking at upgrading to the 17 pro and there’s the current promotion that you can get $830 if I change from an old plan to the unlimited plus plan and trade in the IPhone 13 in. My parents pay the phone bill and we have 4 other lines other than my own. If I change the plan to be the $45/mo w/auto pay. Will that affect the plans on the other lines? Is there a catch? Like if I take this the phone are the other lines screwed if they want to upgrade? If I don’t use this promotion and just pay for the phone whole would the plan be cheaper since you pay for the phone through the plan? I guess I’m looking for a catch
