VGA connector - Wikipedia
2 weeks ago - In the VGA era, some professional ... standard VGA connector, providing a higher quality connection with less crosstalk by utilising five separate 75 ohm coaxial cables. Within a 15-pin connector, the red, green, and blue signals (pins 1, 2, 3) are not shielded from each other, so crosstalk is possible within the 15-pin interconnect. BNC prevents crosstalk by maintaining full coaxial shielding ...

What is VGA? Understanding Video Graphics Array Technology
August 28, 2024 - A VGA converter is a device used to connect different video standard devices, such as transitioning from VGA to HDMI or DVI. It allows you to connect a VGA output from a computer or other device to a · monitor or TV that only has HDMI or DVI inputs. This often requires additional cables, like VGA cables, alongside the converter.

Max Resolutions (VGA vs HDMI vs DVI)
The recommended connector is DisplayPort when available. VGA is capped by the specification to 2048 pixels wide (thus the 2048x1152 to maintain aspect ratio), and DVI requires dual-link for that high of a resolution. With your computer as it is, you'll be unable to max out the resolution (the VGA is actually your best connector). If you do want to max that resolution out, I recommend a low-end dedicated graphics card with a DisplayPort connector. It's about $100 bucks to get some of the cheaper modern cards, and I'm sure you could find a used graphics card for even cheaper. This does assume you have the confidence to open up the case and install the card. If that's a factor, I highly encourage you to watch some videos on computer system building. It's not too complicated and can save you tons of money in the future. More on reddit.com

Confused about vga cables
VGA cables are older cables to connect the monitor to the PC. Later these were replaced by DVI (multiple versions) for higher resolutions, then HDMI became the standard, together with DP. VGA doesn’t have variants. All VGA cables are the same. VGA is not being used mostly, except for monitors or PC’s not supporting DVI or HDMI. SATA cable is what you use to connect a HDD or SSD to the motherboard in the PC. More on reddit.com
