Where to find vintage clothing online?
so, your influencers are 'inspired' by vintage, and if you want to go that way and not buy fast fashion, it's going to be fairly expensive. sorry, i don't know any reputable repro sites, but others here may. just fyi, 'pinup' is generally mid-40s to early 50s. late 50s-early 60s think Mad Men, later 60s is def mod/hippie. for actual vintage etsy and ebay are fine - lots of variety and the potential for good buys, but bf buying online, you should try and get familiar with what to look for / what kind of questions to ask sellers, and the range of prices you might encounter. if there are a couple of shops that sell true vintage close to you, go and look at the clothing, see what the styles and construction look like - online has risks for people who are inexperienced as many sellers on popular platforms don't really know what they're selling. if you have an unlimited budget, below are two etsy shops that are knowledgeable and research their stuff, their prices reflect this. Ladies who buy vintage: Where do you get your clothes?
I comb through three thrift shops a weekend, and I live in a town with a lot of old people (literally 50% are over 60). I don’t buy from online or vintage retailers because I’m a college student. I wear vintage sprinkled in with my regular wardrobe. Actual vintage is incredibly well-made and just feels awesome — I love 1960s/1970s summer dresses and business-casual clothing.
How do you incorporate vintage clothing into your wardrobe?
ALL my favorite pieces are vintage. To me, it's more than finding a one-of-a-kind piece that is beautiful, high quality, and has proved it will stand the test of time. It's also kind of rebellious, anti-capitalist, and anti-fast fashion. The world is FULL of stuff that is already wonderful and was made slowly and carefully, we don't need slaves churning out H&M dissolving sweaters for a single season. It's such a waste. This suit was my grandmothers, the belt, the pants, all of it and it's a great look that's not too "funky", I can wear it to meetings. I think it still has a lot of punch though. This is super funky vintage that looks gothy and expensive. it's a Pia Rucci suede and beaded jacket, that was like $15 because people are crazy, and some old express pants with an admittedly new belt from Urban Outfitters. Vintage Dior dress got it for almost nothing! Had offers for $$$ for it! Vintage lingerie from my grandmother, um, yeah, I'll wear it ha ! Vintage mink scrap coat! $10 at an antique store, great light jacket for fall Or how about a heavy leather and mink coat for straight up winter snow? only $35 flipping dollars at an antique store, PERFECT condition and so unique I know I would have spent up to $200 if I found it on Etsy or somewhere online. PS antique stores are a great place to find cheap coats. Vintage kimono for lounging , vintage coat and mens shirt as a dress , vintage army jacket and vintage leopard bra , so many different ways to wear pieces! Also for anyone who is worried an item is 'funky, mothballed, etc' and washing or dry cleaning didn't help, seriously try some febreeze. Works every time!! And hand wash with a vinegar rinse in between. I mean, hell, my wedding ring is an estate piece husband got is for $2200 (admittedly a LOT) but it appraised for $11k and that's the insurance on it!! In conclusion, vintage is the greatest and a great way to wear things that still have value and beauty. The pieces have traveled so far and seen so much; someone loved them enough to deliver them, in good condition, to your lifetime at the exact moment you find them. There is detailing that may never come back in style again, or be easy to replicate. Quality speaks of course- you'll start noticing the way things were lined in the 60s, where pockets will be and what edging is best, what gemstones are nice, when to splurge and when something will fall apart. It's a whole hobby for me. I mix modern mid-price basics, dirt cheap one-of-a-kind vintage, and the occasional designer splurge to make a look that is all my own, and people often mistake the vintage pieces for the most expensive things I'm wearing. In a way, they are right, because I consider them irreplaceable and therefore, priceless. Rock the hell out of your vintage, girl! More on reddit.com

Online vintage
There are a ton on Instagram (that sell on there and on their own sites) and Etsy. I would search hashtags and tags of what you're looking for specifically. More on reddit.com
