Best Option for Suit Rentals??
As someone who works at a tux/suit shop. I would NOT recommend men's wear house. While yes, they can get it right every once in a while, I've had way too many brides come into our store the week of the wedding freaking out because of men's wear house messing up horribly. If you're okay with an in person store, always try to find smaller mom and pop stores. They're always going to put more attention to detail. You can always ask to try on fitting stock before committing. JosABank is owned by men's wear house, so it's a no for them as well. I have not personally seen tuxes from online stores but I will say that you need to get your guys measured professionally (all places should do measurements for free) and they need to have an ACCURATE height and weight. Luckily, navy is a very easy and popular color, so you're good there! I hope this helps! More on reddit.com

We didn't have a problem when my husband was a groom or groomsman. Being able to return to a different location was a plus. More on reddit.com

Buy a suit. Every man has a need for a suit and it can be reworn so many times that it's an easy return on investment. If you're willing to spend SuitSupply and Indochino prices (approx $500 per suit) then I suggest Spier and Mckay. More on reddit.com

I've used the Black Tux before for rentals and really liked the experience and the general quality for the price. Plus they have a better return policy then Mens Warehouse which needs to send it back practically the next day. I have had to pay my fair amount of late fees for this. A word of advice on Indochino - make sure you go in person to get measured and make sure that you give yourself enough times for edits. While not Indochino's fault, unless you know what you're doing self measurement will almost always lead to a mess that you can mitigate by having them measure you in shop. However, even getting measured I know a lot of people that have had to have various items altered by them after the fact and that can take anywhere from 3 days to another 3 weeks. IMO, if you can swing it I would look to go to Suit Supply instead. More on reddit.com

Am I missing anything?? I've read a lot of horror stories re: pretty much all of these companies, so I'm having a hard time choosing one - does anyone have any insight?? I feel like each of these is a gamble at this point.
FYI we're looking for navy suits and the groomsmen range pretty drastically re: age (50, 48, 22) and size, so I want to pick something that makes them all look polished and age-appropriate.

Generation Tux is a scam, and the suits fit like crap. They have a 1.9 star rating on google versus their fraudulent 5 star ratings on their website. I'd steer clear. We used them for a wedding a few weeks ago and after three attempts at pants sizes I couldn't even wear the pants in the wedding they fit so poorly, ended up just wearing my own tux pants instead.
