Hello everybody!
I wanted to see if anybody has had any experience with making use of Costco's loss and damage warranty. My mom lost both her hearing aids. This has happened a few of times before, but we would eventually find them. It's been more than a week now and it's been hard for her.
Does Costco make it difficult to make use of the warranty or is it a fairly easy process. She's had the hearing aids (Jabra) since last August.

I had mine replaced and it was easy as heck. I had gone in to buy new ones because I lost my HAs. it was about 2.5 years since I had bought my Kirklands. The lady said "Hmm...let me check...you might have that three year warranty." Turns out I did have a three year warranty. She put in a replacement order and I got them a week later. This was near the end of last year.

I requested a lost HA replacement. It took a while but the costco person handed me the hearing aid in my bare hand, no baggie or anything. I put it in my raincoat pocket (it was pouring rain) and left and ran an errand and got a coffee and never found the hearing aid. I searched frantically and if it landed in a puddle it was ruined anyway. You only got one replacement so that was it. I've learned my lesson, now have Jabras I ordered on line. I had a single HA refuse to charge and they replaced it promptly with a refurbished pair, so I am happy.

My brother lost both his Philips hearing aids when we went swimming on vacation and discovered they were gone at dinner back at our hotel. The app couldn’t locate them. I reported my lost hearing aid to Costco two days before the two-year replacement deadline, and Costco had the replacement device for me in less than ten days.

Unfortunately the hearing aids i got from Costco seem to not be working for me. I certainly have hearing loss but after using them for a couple of months i can still hear better without them in the situations i needed to hear better in.
Im still within the 6 month return window, but how do I actually return them? Are they linked to my Costco membership # so i can just walk up with that and return them? I unfortunately have no idea where the receipt went. Do i need to return them with all the boxes and such? Are they going to give me the run around? And do i need to return them to the same Costco i got them from?

My advice is go back to the Costco you bought them from, if you can’t, the one you go to can pull the information from the original store. I would bring the box and all that came with them as well. I have found Costco to be really great with customer service and you do not need a membership to go to the hearing center. I would like to add that when I purchased my last pair, I couldn’t get any good sound and started writing down all of the issues I was having. I brought that in and they ended up sending them back to the factory and in about two weeks, I was given a new set. It made all the difference in the world and the replacement set are great. Defected hearing aids can happen so don’t give up too soon. Best of luck to you!

My husband returned his. He went to the hearing aid center inside Costco, the audiologist was rude, said to make an appointment to return them. He had to wait a week to back. Then there was a process to explain why he didn’t like the hearing aids, and they put the money back onto our debit card.

My audiologist recommended that I get hearing aids for my mild-moderate hearing loss. He specifically told me not to go to Costco, miracle ear, or anything like that. He said I didn't have to go back to him, but to go to an audiologist rather than one of those places, because they don't have audiologists and will not be able to do it correctly.
Is this really a concern? Do audiologists not help with Costco hearing aids? Price is a big factor for me. I have family members with Costco hearing aids (my loss is genetic) who have no complaints. I'm confused. What has your experience been with Costco? And have you had an audiologist say this to you?

Hi! I've worn hearing aids for about 10 years and I'm on my third pair. I go to an audiologist who charges a minimum of 5K for each pair (I'm sure it's more since I bought my last pair). I hear great things about Costco and wonder if I should switch. Do they have audiologists on site? How is the quality? I'm kind of tired of paying so much. Thanks!
