Hey there!
Does anybody know what this "Dell Core Services" application is, that is preinstalled on newly Dell systems? (Latitude 5530 in this casebut but also saw it on Precisions)
I think they started preinstalling this app when Dell switched from shipping the systems with Win 10 22H2 instead of 21H2, because older systems but same model did not had this preinstalled.
I cant'f find any information at dell.com nor does this app gets listed when searching for drivers etc. at dell support.

Core Services installs with the MyDell app which in turn installs Dell Optimiser and a host of other services including Intel Connectivity Performance Suite of you have an Intel System. This is primarily for businesses anyway with WiFi cards supporting vPro. Dell apps use a huge amount of resources and honestly the services are about as useful as a chocolate tea pot. I uninstalled all the Dell Apps including SupportAssist. If you have the Waves Audio installed you will lose the functions as they're part of the MyDell app but you can just download the Waves MaxxAudio Pro app from Windows Store instead, this uses much less resources. If you don't like the features you can just go naked with the audio. I think the MyDell app and associated apps were designed originally for Windows 10 and lower but honestly, all the features are in Windows 11 Settings now in one shape or form. My system runs much better and smoother without the Dell stuff.

My memory usage halved after uninstalling MyDell 😂. If you're in it for the power manager, just get the Dell Power Manager which is good for fan speed control & battery charging. Dell just had to take a good piece of software they designed, shit on it, then release it under the name MyDell.
Dell Core Services causing processes to consume RAM and run slow

Now I'm too lazy, but I used to do a clean Win install, and installed only necessary drivers, no Dell Update, and I had a monthly reminder to check Dell drivers webpage for any new drivers. Never heard of windows update installing something like that. There is a windows uninstall tool/trouble shooter you can download on the Microsoft website. Haven’t had much luck with it in the past, but sometimes works.. What would have a higher change of helping might be running a DISM.exe /online scanhealth, restore health. Have to google those commands. More on reddit.com

December 25, 2024Dell Bloatware -- Is there anything here I need to keep?
I'd advise keeping Dell command and Dell Optimizer and remove everything else. Dell command is good for getting the Dell bios updates especially the bios updates. Dell optimizer mainly for power options like control charging and performance. I have a Dell latitude so I don't know if these apps works differently for consumer models. More on reddit.com
