What hours are the stock markets open?
The New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ are open from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm ET.
Which timeframe is best for stock analysis?
The best timeframe for stock analysis can vary depending on an investor’s strategy and goals, but many experts suggest that a longer timeframe, such as several months to years, tends to offer a clearer picture of a stock’s potential performance.
Which timeframes are most valid trading?
For day traders, short timeframes such as 1-minute to 15-minute charts are commonly used to capture quick price movements and exploit short-term volatility.
I’m a total beginner and want to start investing in stocks.
But I heard tariffs might go into effect on August 1st and impact the market.
Should I wait or just start now and invest gradually?

When exactly is the best time to buy? I’ve heard stuff like buy low, sell high, you can’t time the market, time in the market is better than timing the market, don’t buy a stock at its peak. Some of these “lines” kinda go against each other.
So i guess my question is, do I buy weekly no matter the price? Wait for a dip? Wait for the stock to be a fair price/bargain?
Can stocks like Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon even be bought at a bargain, or a fair price?
Side note: been investing for a year and a half, feel like I should know this question. Feels like the more I learn the less I know.
Hi, all! As a title, what I should know for stock investing as a beginner for first 6 months?
What I’d like to know
When buying a stock, what do people usually consider? Which numbers or pieces of information do people normally consider?
After buying a stock, what should I keep in mind? Which data/variable should I check? How do you decide when to increase your position or when to cut your losses?
Reliable sources of information for learning and research.
Experience
I’ve been investing in index ETFs for about 7 years. It’s been steady, but the growth hasn’t been huge. I’ll continue with index ETFs, but I’d like to try other types of investments.
Background
I live in Spain as an immigrant, with two children.
My partner and I both work hard, but for example, buying a home feels out of reach.
I don’t expect my income to increase significantly, so I’d like to build wealth through investing.
Total assets: around €50,000. I can probably put about €30,000 into investments.
Approach
I want to allocate around 20% of my portfolio to individual stocks.
I have a high risk tolerance for this 20% of my portfolio.
Not looking for a gamble – I’d like to research properly and invest responsibly.
Aim: medium to long-term holding.
Any advice for a beginner like me for the first 6 months of stock investing would be really appreciated!
