I just wear a jacket over my dress because you won't need it inside anyway so I don't really worry about it being part of my outfit. So I just have a nice dress, I like long sleeves and knee length, with stockings and boots. I prefer darker colours anyway, green, navy, black etc so they suit a winter wedding. More on reddit.com

Morning all,
I'm Pakistani Australian and this is the first 'white' (sorry, no offence intended) wedding I've ever been invited to. It's cold as shit out in Brisbane at night and I wanted some reccs for winter dresses to wear at the reception dinner at a golf course. I do intend to dance/enjoy myself but I also really wanted a good IG pic so I want to stunt omg. I'm terrified of wearing a floral dress with cream or white underlay because I know it's not a good thing at all to wear.
I can also handmake dresses so wouldn't mind getting some inspo of what's cute to wear to a winter wedding so I can make it or buy it. I'm eyeing drop waists and bubble skirts or the typical flared dress with poof sleeves. Have been getting some inspo from leo lin and sorting from high to low on the iconic.

I highly recommend a nice shawl for cool evenings. They're easy to take off if you're too warm, and like a blanket if you're cold! Plus they look way nicer than a jacket over your dress
