I lost my AirPods a while ago and want to get new earbuds, but I don’t want to get AirPods since I’m going to move on from Apple when I get the chance. For the time being though, what are the best earbuds in you guys’ opinions that can work on iPhone just as well as another phone?

At first i was looking at the 2nd Gen AirPod pros but then I’ve heard that cheaper earbuds beat it if we’re talking about sound quality. Ive also heard that the mic quality is disappointingly bad for the price.

Then I found Beats Studio Pro + and the reviews seem to be inconsistent. One review says that its not as good as the Airpods and the other says its much better. The mic quality is also an issue for the beats, apparently.

In other words, I want to know if anything here is true and if either earbud is worth buying, or if i should get something else instead.

Also, does Hi-Res even matter on an Earbud? Does it work with iPhones/Apple Music?

Any suggestions?

January 16, 2025 -

Hello,

I need some help on picking an alternative option for the iphone that is not an Apple Product like Airpods.

I have tried the following earbuds with no luck sadly.

  1. Nothing Ear - Noise cancelling sucked so bad.

  2. Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds - kept dropping the connection.

  3. Beats Powerboats Pro - horrible fit and barely could hear the music due to it not having noise cancelling

  4. Beats Studio Buds + - random connection issues were it would drop for second or a couple minutes.

  5. Beats fit pro - the left ear bud never worked right out of the box.

  6. OnePlus Buds Pro 3 - not enough options and battery would die within three hours

  7. Marshall Motif II True Wireless Active Noise - May try again to see if I like them or not if there is nothing under $200.

  8. Soundcore Liberty 4 Pro - case is to big and did not like how the case slides out and to big to bring around in my pocket.

I am looking for great ANC and great bass and earbuds that will not lose connection.. Battery should be able to least 5 hours with ANC on.

I would appreciate any help

I've recently switched to an iPhone from Android and I'm unfortunately unable to pair Samsung Galaxy Buds with it (without "+").

I'm searching for new earbuds to buy and from what I can see AirPods Pro aren't clearly the best choice, but a lot of other earbuds have their options partially blocked on iOS or don't work on it at all.

So, my question is: do you have any suggestions of other earbuds that would be a better choice then AirPods Pro? I'm thinking of Huawei Freebuds Pro, but I've seen some articles saying that they don't work that well on iOS. I was also looking at Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2, but they are even more expensive and I'm not sure if they are worth it.

I did not like the original AirPods and Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus I had connectivity issues with. I am looking for something better than the Galaxy ones, with a good sound and secure fit. I have been recommended Jabra Elite 75T’s, what are your opinion on those compared to Galaxy Buds Plus? Any other recommendations? I’d like to keep my budget in and around 200 Euro or less.

I am fed up with the cheap earbuds I’ve bought over the years and want to get a really good pair finally. I want noise-cancelling and for them to work well with my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Obviously, I’m considering the AirPods Pro 2, but Beats and Bose also seem to have well-rated ear buds. I have fairly small ears/ear canals, so I definitely need something with multiple options for sizing.

What is everyone using that they love?

I am considering wireless ear buds and while AirPods are an obvious solution I am wondering if there are better alternatives out there? I am aware of ease of connectivity between AirPods and Apple devices but other than that are there many differences between them and other products on the market?

Edit: Thank you everyone for bringing out all these amazing options and pointing out the good and not so good sides of them. Perhaps I should add that while sound quality is definitely an important factor to me, my main purpose of ear buds would be for phone conversations so I can have my hands free while I talk. Does that change much in terms of which option is best or would most still stick with the choices you suggested so far?

Wireless Earbuds for iPhone

I never ever used wireless earbuds for iPhone always use wired, but now i want to try something better. I know there are lot earbuds including Apple Airpods Pro 2. But all i want is for the best price best performance. These are the key factors i am mainly looking from an earbuds.

  1. Good Bass(I am listening to of Hip Pop music and i really like with having bass on these earbuds)

2.Better ANC (I am daily travelling to my work by train and it's freaking loud every time that's why i am looking for better ANC to complete shutdown mode while i am on train)

3.Comfort (Comfort is a must because i am most of the time listening to new music and without a good comfort and seal it's super boring)

Please let me know a best earbuds for the price with all these 3 marks checks. This is going to be my first earbud let this man help with your support xD

I have an iPhone 15 Pro along with AirPods Pro and Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4s. The AirPods have been great, of course, but I've owned them for a year and a half and I'm having charging issues with them now. Also, the sound quality of the AirPods Pro isn't 100% what I am looking for. I really like the MTW4's but these things are the worst in terms of bluetooth connectivity. I am constantly getting dropped audio/connection/pairing issues with them. Sound quality is top notch, though.

Can I get a recommendation for a different pair of true wireless earbuds? I need them to be rock solid in terms of performance/connectivity. Also, I run/work out a lot so they need to be waterproof and stay secure in ear if I am moving around. Sound quality and noise cancellation are also important. Battery life is less important to me since I probably only use them for a maximum of two hours at a time. I am leaning towards the Sony WF1000XM5's but would appreciate other options.

January 16, 2020 - Galaxy Buds work okay, but the original ones don’t support setup via an app on the iPhone - so you have to set them up on an Android phone. I wouldn’t recommend those, you’d want the Live/Plus/Pro. Still feel like my OGs were worth it for $40 though tbh

So I currently have the JBL Tune750btnc over the ear headphones. They’re great, but I am looking for good earbuds.

I have an iPhone and a Mac, my phones gonna die soon and I’m planning to switch to a pixel. (Which is why I don’t wanna get AirPods)

I need something in which I can sleep peacefully because over the ear headphones are not that something

Good ANC would be a plus point.

I'm looking for earphones under $100 for my iPhone. I want them to have ANC and the best sound quality in this price range. So far, I've considered the following earphones: Earfun Free Pro 3, Soundcore Liberty 4 NC, Sony WFC700N (a bit more expensive but still within budget). Which one might be the best? Also, are there any better options outside of these?

My AirPods Pro 2nd have been frequently disconnecting lately, causing interruptions while listening to music. And I think my ears might not be suited for IEMs, so I’m thinking of getting a pair of headphones. The AirPods Max look great but they are quite expensive. What headphones do you all use?

September 24, 2024 -

Hi everyone. I've been looking for a pair of wired earbuds for my new iPhone 16 (I've never used an iPhone before this one) as I'm not a fan of wireless ones. Does anyone have any suggestions on any with the below features?

  • USB-C connection

  • Soft tipped (i.e. silicon)

  • Microphone

  • Controls (Volume up/down and an action button)

  • Decent to good sound quality/volume

The ones I found had some of these features, but I wasn't entirely sure if the controls would work properly with an iPhone since they aren't made by Apple. I've looked at Apple EarPods, but they don't have soft tips and I'm not entirely sure they'll fit well in my ears/passively block external noise. If I can't find anything else I'll get them though.

Any insight is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Question is as the title states, I've tried googling but I literally cannot find an answer to this question. I've been looking to pick up some new wireless earbuds (eyeballing the Sony WF-1000XM3) but I can't seem to find concrete information on whether or not they work as smoothly as Airpods do. Like, do I just put them in my ears and I'm good to go or is there more setup to do?

Cheers!

I’ve recently moved from Android to iOS and am also looking to buy new Earbuds.

I have been using Jabra 65t for the last 4 1/2 years which worked great till late as their battery life is really bad now. I have tried the AirPods but they have been uncomfortable during workouts.

Wanted to know if there are any recommended models/brands to look at as I’ve read a lot of mixed reviews for newer models of any brand. Looking for something comfortable for workout with a good bass and decent for work calls.

Thanks!
