Im in my last semester of college and hopefully moving into the next chapter of my life as a working woman! Other than thrifting some lucky pieces every once and awhile, I was wondering if you guys have recs for where to get affordable but nice looking clothing like slacks, button ups, nice blouses, that are comfortable and still fashionable as well. If you're looking to buy things new - GAP and J Crew are great options. They both do huge sales on a regular basis. GAP is great for basics like slacks, tees, and white button downs. J Crew is great for slightly more unique pieces and elevated basics. I personally find in person thrifting challenging at times but love online second hand shopping. You can find tons of great workwear pieces this way, especially as it's a category people who WFM want to offload. I think the Real Real is great for pieces like slacks and blazers (and they allow returns). when shopping on sites like poshmark, I think Club Monaco, Theory, Vince, Rag & Bone, and J Crew are great to look for.

The ol standbys of Old Navy, Gap, H&M, Uniqlo, Zara. Get things hemmed or taken in as needed. Basic hemming is not expensive, and it looks way more professional if your pants are not dragging on the ground and your shirts are hitting where they should on your torso. Don’t feel like you need to get a giant work wardrobe. Get pieces you actually like (like enough to wear to work I mean), but it’s completely fine to rewear work clothes. Like get 3 bottoms and 5 tops and just mix and match.
