Which of these two brands makes better quality jeans?
I’ve been buying cheap jeans from outlet stores like Ross for $10-$15 a pair for years and most of my pairs have holes on them and they fall apart easily. Usually they’re good for a year or so until they get holes or a pocket rips. I still wore them in the past but the company I’m with now told me it’s not OSHA compliant to have holes in my jeans.
I don’t want anything “nice” since I work in construction and they will get stained and dirty, don’t care about appearance just want something that will last a long time, is comfortable, and bonus if it has large pockets. I also don’t want to spend $100 on one pair of jeans.
I’m an electrician if that matters. I don’t really deal with paint but I work outside in the dirt sometimes. Anyone else in the construction industry that can recommend a reliable brand for jeans. Of course nothing you wear in construction is BIFL but hopefully it will last 5+ years.
Update for those who see this old post (cuz I get notifications)
10/19/24 I bought Costco Kirkland jeans. Best bang for buck I can find in my area (Hawaii). Bought them shortly after this post was made and they hold up almost like new besides some stains. No holes, comfortable, fits well. No extra pockets tho but that's fine.
I went to the Goodwills in my area and they're mostly just cheap jeans there or vintage ones that aren't my size. I'm size 30 so not a lot of options. It's very hit or miss tbh.
CAT pants (yes the excavator company). Found some new on eBay for $15 each. Very high quality denim, extra large tool pockets, double layers around knees. So far no holes but they are a little on the hot side and my balls sweat a lot lol. Still great tho.
Bought some cargo pants on Amazon. Kinda on the cheap side but so far no excessive wear and lots of pockets with some of them zipper. Love these cuz I'm always worried about my airpods falling out and getting lost.
