Yes it can be fixed, but it won't last forever. This is at least my experience. I had a similar issue with my Yamaha CS1x. The damaged pad is carbon conductive 'ink'. You can buy it in little pots from electronics specialists such as DigiKey. Personally, I used a pen similar to this one from Amazon . I don't use the synth very heavily, especially not recently. Apply a few layers, drying in between, and you should be good for a functional repair. More on reddit.com

What are the symptoms of the broken unit? Does it power on at all? Powers on but no sound, or no display, or only certain things don't work? How old is it and what kind of environment has it been living in such as exposed to a lot of dust, fluctuations in temperature, been dropped, etc.? If you had a good working one it still won't be that easy to fix trying to compare voltages, currents, resistances, etc. You should focus on searching for things like broken wires, broken or dirty switches, and bad solder joints. You need good light and a powerful magnifying glass to inspect solder joints. Don't trust your eyes. Look for a Youtube video on inspecting solder joints on circuit boards. Bad solder joints can be very sneaky to identify. Non-shiny joints, hard to see tiny cracks in solder, component legs not making good contact with solder pads are things to look for. You'll need a fine soldering tip, thin solder and steady hands. Get a good magnifying headset with a good light so both hands can be free. There are good websites for electronic tools and aids like Mouser, Allelectronics, Jameco, MCMelectronics, come to mind since Radio Shack pretty much has gone out of business and many small electronics stores as well unfortunately. Amazon and Ebay are good for finding stuff also but take more time and several purchases to get all the right tools to use instead of a 'one stop store' like the others I mentioned. You also should get cans of compressed air and contact cleaner known as Cramolin for switches. Potentiometers like volume controls, etc. It's more likely some mechanical type of problem then failure of a component unless something was spilled in it, something metal fell in it to short out a component, etc. Also make sure your power supply is good by measuring the voltage coming out of it. Those coaxial power connectors on most of those keyboards are notorious for having broken solder connections on PCB's. Look there first if it's not powering up. If the jack is not broken consider putting a little super glue underneath it to help secure it to the PCB and not allowed to wiggle around from the power plug inserted into it. Good luck!
