My friend told me that I could download an app off the Google Play store called "YouTube Vanced" that allowed me to bypass ads and listen to videos even with my screen turned off. It's one of the reasons why I switched to Android.
It would appear that app has been removed from the store for obvious reasons.
Do you know of an app that would accomplish the above-listed things?
Videos
Can someone send me a safe site? There's some in the search of google but idk which one is safe to download, thanks in advance.
I haven't used either of them but I'm curious whether is better? Do any of them use Google services because I'm using a gms free huawei?
Vanced was working fine for me till yesterday. Its actually not big of a deal just sometimes comments or video suggestions doesn't load and sometimes the videos shows green buffering which i think is fault of my phone which gets fixed after restarting the app.
Offcoarse i'm also getting home ads now too and the app works slower.
But is revanced better than vanced? I don't like youtube new updates which is see in my normal youtube from interference to shorts to polls system and when i open the app it redirects to shorts instead of home screen everything seems off. If revanced just works on youtube principle it isn't my thing. Give your suggestions please
i am paying for YT premium but i hate the official YT app, mostly because of the shorts are polluting the client and can't be turned off. someone told me i should install YT ReVanced, but i am a bit reluctant to try it out because idk if it's safe. so i'm asking here.

And it works i just tried a video it works fine
As in patching the official app via an external tool to remove advertisements etc just like they do with YouTube Vanced/ReVanced?
I wish to keep using reddit on my phone, but I refuse to give them a single cent in ad revenue.
my vamced for your shows and error code when I use it
I've been using their revanced manager and its apps like RVX and RVX Music for a while now, and saw no issues, and it's logged in via Micro G and gets regular updates. It seems pretty legitimate, and if it is not, can anyone tell me more about it or check if it is safe or not? I am pretty paranoid about it, honestly.
Hey Guys, I was a YouTube vanced user for years until my YouTube stopped working and playing videos all together.
Has any apps been released to replace Vanced? Or has devs found a way to make Vanced work again
Cheers
I am looking for Youtube Vanced alternative with the same features as background play and auto play.
I'm looking for an app with the same functionality as the aforementioned YouTube Vanced. I know YouTube Revanced, but the it says on it's GitHub page that it's no longer maintained.
When looking for alternatives on sites like AlternativeTo, I see a bunch of freemium apps (which I don't want), NewPipe and VuTube. The problem with both is that they don't support logging into a Google account, which means no subscriptions, notifications, etc.
For a basic, ad-free YouTube client, I could use Mi Video, but it doesn't have SponsorBlock.
Hi all,
Was updating my revanced manager app after a long hiatus and stumbled upon this website : vanced.to
Downloaded the manager app alongside several other APKs like RVX YT and YouTube music revanced.
So happened to click on a link (revanced.net) in said manager app , and landed on the 'you may be a victim of a counterfeit' landing page alongside a list of common counterfeit revanced websites addresses.
I saw that 'revanced.to' is indeed not classed as counterfeit, however 'vanced.to' was not on it.
Looked around but no mention of the validity or lack thereof, of 'vanced.to'.
Is it a legit fork of revanced or did I screw up here? Many thanks in advance!
Got my Fold 6 on Monday and am loving it so far, especially for things like YouTube and Netflox that I would usually find myself watching on my computer before now.
I'm upgrading from a S22U the odd time I would watch YouTube on that phone I would use YouTube danced primarily for the "Sponsor Block" feature the added media player controls were nice.
I went to install YouTube Vanced on my fold to find it does not adapt to the inner screen very well if at all opting to just make video thumbnails huge taking up most of the screen in a single colour unlike the regular YouTube app which i much prefer in that way.
Is there a way to fix this or any Vancex alternatives to allow use of ad / sponsor block and so on that also use the new YouTube UI in a way that will properly adapt to the folds inner screen?
I don't know if it's something that's not available in my country or I have just never heard about it. However, today it's the first time I even hear about the existence of YouTube Vanced (for example here, here or here). I see it's apparently closing due to legal reasons. So, what's YouTube Vanced and why is it closing?
