Scotch vs. Italian Game for 1000 ELO players
I think the Italian prepares you more for the ruy Lopez if you play the slow italian just please don't ever play Nc3. However at the 1000 level I think scotch is more tactical and open and better for learning tactical positions. More on reddit.com

19 y/o, Italian, college student and with ~1000€ in my bank account. What should I do?
  1. the usual mix of index funds so that you have a balanced ownership of everything. Take care that "World" in the names of these funds does not mean world but only certain countries, IIRC you need 3 different funds to have a balanced ownership of all markets in the world. I can't recall the names but they're suggested pretty often on here.

  2. Don't you already have to file your own taxes? I live with my parents and I've had my own tax declaration since I was 18, but I'm not a resident in Italy. You should ask on an italian forum about taxes and finances.

  3. you should diversify right away so that you own a bit of every country in your portfolio of index funds. In order for the stocks of the whole world to fall you need a major crisis, and even then they will recover after a few years, that or italy will default and all your money will be taxed and then transformed into a worthless currency so you've lost everything anyway.

You only have 1k€, are you sure that you won't need them soonish to travel, buy a car or move after you graduate and start working, or even before? I guess you could invest a portion of it though.

Italian Ambitions in 1936 [1090 x 1000]

I wonder where they got the idea that Spain could be a client state, especially considering it was already led by a Fascist government with its own plans.
