Good plan. Your budget is overkill for what you want to play, but it can get you a pretty decent laptop anyway.

Ideally, you'd wanna go for an Asus tuf a15 or f15 with a 4070 gpu imo, as those are great affordable laptops that are really only held back by the screen (which you don't care about). I've seen them go for around 1000$ in the US before.

If you wanna go for a laptop that performs perfectly, but skimps out on almost everything else like build quality, screen, battery life.... Acer nitro 16 and MSI katana/sword 15 (same laptop) (DISCLAIMER: shady hinges with the msi model) with 4070's are pretty cheap (relatively lol) and use the full power of their 4070.

Or you could go with something a bit more balanced like the lenovo loq, but that model comes with a 4060 maximum.

Or if you can find a good midrange 2022 laptop like a legion 5 with a 3070ti (performs between the 4060 and 4070) and it will perform quite well too.

This gaming laptop should be best bang for your buck. RTX 3060 i5 10500h 144hz 512 ssd 8gb ram.

Upgrade ram to 16gb/32gb and 1tb ssd immediately
