Why would anyone buy an HP Printer?
Best Printer for the Price on Amazon right now?
LPT: If you're buying a home printer for occasional use, get a laser printer; they're more expensive up front but way more economical in the long run.
Best thing I ever did! I found a decent quality HP color laser printer on OfferUp for $25 and never looked back. It's been 2 years and I still have not had to change the toner cartridge. I don't use it that often, but I have printed a 1000 page manual with no problems.
Not only has the ink lasted, but the printer itself has had no issues. The software it came with was simple with no bloatware. One thing about laser printers that 8 have noticed is that they are geared toward businesses, not the average consumer, so they are designed much more dependably.
Im pretty sure that I got a smoking deal on the printer. It was in almost new condition. The owners were moving out of the country and didn't want to transport it. I think the printer retailed for around $300.

In the 1990's I purchased one of the earliest inkjet printers "Thinkjet" and many more inkjet and laser jet printers after my first. In the early teens I was sick of HPs crappy build quality, crazy high ink prices, and customer hostile business practices and left them. In 2012 I moved to an Epson printer and have never looked back.
I was on the Wirecutter website today and was SHOCKED that all their "recommended" printers were HP. Did HP "buy" their way to the top? Surely there is no way anyone would recommend an HP printer unless they were bribed to. From the many posts on this page and others I almost never hear anything good about HP printers. Any HP fans out there?
