This usually happens when an order is placed but the payment is still being checked. Your inventory showing as Reserved means that the items are set aside for that order but haven’t been shipped out yet because the payment is still being processed. The Receiving status means that your shipment has reached the fulfillment center, but it hasn’t been completely processed yet.
