Like the title says this is the 1st statement with the Amex Amazon and I didn't realize until now how much of a pain it is to actually get the "cash back". I only had 2 purchases totaling about $540... So 5% CB is $27. But with Amex you can only use the cash back points towards purchases for less than your point balance with a $10 minimum... So since I have $27 in cash back but a charge for $415 and $125 I can't use my cashback. Anyway that's my rant guess I've been spoiled by the ease of Chase Amazon and didn't realize how tricky Amex would be. Not sure if I should just sock drawer this card or transfer the limit to another card and close it.

Is there a membership requirement for the Amazon Business American Express Prime Card?
I wanted to apply for this card for my new business since I know I'll be doing a lot of Amazon purchases. For those that aren't familiar, in order to get the Business Prime card, you have to first sign up for the Amazon Business Prime service. As a sole prop/single-member LLC, you can append this Business Prime Duo service to your existing Amazon Prime membership for an additional $69/yr. This takes about 24 hours to take effect once you sign up.
As this card is considered a "no annual fee" card, it's important to recognize that you still have to pay at least $69/yr to use it as described above. However, there's a regular AMEX Amazon Business card that does not require you to have Business Prime that does not have any annual charges.
In any case, I applied for the Business Prime card and was initially redirected to a screen asking to call them back. So I did that, and after verifying basic information, I was approved with a $12,000 credit limit. I got the $125 gift card immediately after I got approved.

AMEX has always been really good about being giving generous credit limits to new businesses just starting out so I'm pretty happy with the result!!
