Claude for Education features a new Learning mode, designed to guide students' reasoning process rather than providing answers. For instance, Claude might ask," How would you approach this problem?" rather than stating an immediate solution. The feature uses Socratic questioning to deepen understanding, highlights core concepts behind specific problems, and provides templates for research papers, study guides, and outlines. In conjunction with Claude for Education's release, Anthropic also announced two new student programs: Claude Campus Ambassadors, an opportunity for students to work directly with the Anthropic team to launch outreach campaigns and educational initiatives on their campus, and Claude for Student Builders, a way for students who are building projects with Claude to apply for free API credits.
