How to care for Victorian living room furniture?
What's the selection of Victorian living room furniture?
What variations of Victorian living room furniture can you get?
Found this sofa at a local used furniture store (Gainesville, FL). The upholstery is obviously shot, but the wood frame really caught my attention. To my uneducated eye it seems like an exceptionally elegant design. I'm very curious what you all think, generally, and whether anyone can tell if it's a genuine antique. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a photo of the underside, but I looked as best I could and didn't see any marks or tags down there.
I already went ahead and bought it since it was only $30 dollars. I figured it's worth that much just to have a couple days to contemplate whether I really want to undertake this project or not. I have to go back by Sunday and either pick it up or pay for delivery if I want to keep it.
Thanks for your time!
I just finished school and am moving in a couple of months to another state for my job. I want to set my living room to look Victorian-themed, and I am looking for some inspiration if some of you have set up something similar in a regular apartment. Also, what would be a good place to look for furniture (couches, TV tables, artwork/decor, dining table, coffee table, rugs etc.) to go with it?
