I use my S3 at night so haven’t completely tested the battery but when I’m done with it before bed it has a solid 45% left. I’ve been on the yearly upgrade train since S0, the best thing about SE3 is haven’t noticed any worse function than previous non-SE watches. How’s everyone’s experience with the Apple Watch SE 3 so far?

I had both se 1 and se 2. I had both black colors and both 44mm, which in my opinion for a man is the perfect size. The only advice I give you is to always place it on a non-hard surface, because especially the paint where the speakers are on mine tends to peel off if you're not careful. More on reddit.com

44 here. But that’s just what fit my wrist best. I have wide wrists to the point where I can’t even wear sports bands without first spending time to stretch them out a little bit and even then it only fits on the 2nd hole.
As far as battery goes, might be a bigger battery on the 44 but that’s for the bigger screen. If you’re leaning toward the 40 then get the 40; you’re not missing out on much.
If you really want extra text then you can shrink the text size on the watch. A watch that might be too big for your wrist is not worth an extra line or line and a half of text at the end of the day. You won’t be watching videos on it and even with texts, you’ll likely not even notice scrolling to read an entire text. It’ll just be second nature to you. No app I use has all the information fit the screen so you’ll likely be scrolling no matter what

I came into the Apple Watch world through the ultra 1 three years ago. I previously used Garmins as that was the only reason I needed a smartwatch, for runs. I’ve read from Redditors that the battery was unbelievable on an ultra but, because I’ve used Garmins, I had no other Apple Watch to compare. This weekend I bought an SE 3 as a daily wear. Here it is, 11:01 AM and my SE 3’s battery is at 51% my ultra would have been at somewhere around 80ish. I’ve meditated, walked three miles, checked some notifications and the SE 3 is half done for the day. I’m not complaining about the SE 3, I really like it! I’m just appreciating why everyone was so excited about the ultra’s battery life. I had no idea that battery life was this harsh on standard (non ultra) watches. I’ve switched my new SE 3 to low power mode and turned off the “always on” feature. Again, I really like it, just realizing that I can’t see how the see how the SE 3 is a useful fitness tracker for longer runs and hikes.
