Making this post since I couldn't find any solid info on whether this is an issue with the board itself, or if I just got unlucky. I figure worst case this can be a place for other users to share their experience so that if other people do have this issue, there will be something to find.
I bought the board to upgrade (pretty much a rebuild really) my PC over the holidays. Built everything (Ryzen 7 5800X + Sapphire Nitro 6750XT) and it was working great for about a week or two. Then I had terribly inconsistent ping spikes and latency issues in games like Rocket League, R6 Siege, and LoL. I say inconsistent, but it seemed like the first hour or two of gaming was relatively smooth, and then the issue would start slowly at first, while progressively getting much worse to the point where whatever game was borderline unplayable. Streaming YouTube and Netflix was perfectly fine, and I was getting pretty much exactly the download speeds my ISP advertises for my plan. It was just latency and ping during online games that I had an issue.
I'm making this post now because I spent all of January troubleshooting and testing to see if the issue would stop. I tried drivers, Windows settings, reinstalling Windows entirely, messing around with router settings, pretty much everything I can think of. My old mobo (ASRock Z270 Killer SLI/ac) didn't have this issue. By chance I actually got a new WiFi 6 router around mid January, and I hoped that it would fix the issue. While I did get better download speeds and signal strength, the issue came back after a week or two with the same exact symptoms.
All of this troubleshooting, along with the change in both mobo and router, made me believe it was an issue with the on board WiFi, so I finally bought a PCI-e WiFi card on Amazon. This finally fixed my issue, so I'm pretty confident the issue was with the on board WiFi itself or the physical antenna. The only thing I can't tell from my own experience is if this is normal for this board, or if I just got a problematic one. Regardless, hopefully others who use this board will comment about their experiences with WiFi during gaming, so that other people can have a reference if they go looking.
The condition says used and it is supposed to be coming with everything included. Is it worth it for the $232 or should I just get a new x570 with wifi from other brands for much cheaper?
Is there any big difference between the two? I’m new to building pc and was deciding between the two it’s only $20 difference which would u guys recommend? Thank u
I own this mobo and it says it has Bluetooth now am I missing something in windows it says if you have Bluetooth turn it on from this system however it dosent explain how. So I guess my question is does this mobo actually have BT?
