I have seen the 2024 g14 dropping down to as low as ~1200$. Was wondering if I should buy it right not or wait for the g14 2025 model to launch and see if there will be any bigger sales.
Looking into getting a gaming laptop, and Best Buy has the 2024 G14 for $1299 new and $1099 open box. Is this a good deal? I know a lot of laptops go on sale in August, is it a better idea to scope it out and wait to see if it goes any lower? Or is this likely as low as it’ll go?
For reference, I’ve got a PC currently that I inherited from an older sibling years ago, so it’s slowing down on the game front. I’m not tech savvy when it comes to parts so I’m not looking to upgrade that, and would like the portability of a laptop. A quick check of the current graphics card I have for it is a GeForce GTX 970. I’m assuming it would be a decent upgrade, or at least worth it? Again, not incredibly knowledgeable on that front.
Would appreciate any input!

Mention the model and country please! I just wanted to buy mine at Best Buy and it’s around 1750 after taxes. Can I find a better price ?
It’s the 32 gb 4070rtx model 2024
Hi everyone, first of all, I know this question has been asked so many times before, but I want to ask again here hoping to have a clear answer to help my decision.
The thing is, I will be going to college this fall, and I need a good but portable machine, my decision is G14 2024, but since the CES, I also target the G14 2025 5070ti 32gb
I see that the G14 4070 32gb is usually on sale on Bestbuy and I think I will grab it the next time it's on sale (around 1600$-1700$). But do you guys know exactly when will the 2025 version be on sale?
If the G14 2025 5070ti 32gb on sale, how much will that be?
And will the G14 2024 4070 32gb go even lower later?
I know the best time to buy a new laptop is now when you need it the most, but I have my desktop at home here, my consideration is because I want to get the best price out of it.
Thanks for reading :)
both the 5070 and the 5080 version
I saw this price drop today, so I decided to leave it here since a few people have been asking about sales prices on this guy lately.

The 2024 G14 4060 model is $1300 at BestBuy in the US. Best price it's ever been here in Europe is 1900€ = $2100.
WHAT THE FUCK. I could fly to NYC, stay for the weekend, buy the G14 and come back for what it costs to buy it here.
Looks like the Tariffs finally kicked in. Price has gone up $200+.
Hey all,
I’m looking to get an ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 for college and gaming. I mostly play FPS shooters like CS2, but I’d also like to run COD games smoothly.
I’m mainly after the 2024 model with an RTX 4070 (8GB VRAM) and 32GB RAM, but I can’t seem to find any good deals on it anywhere.
Where do people usually buy laptops like this for good prices or during sales? Ideally I’d want delivery to Ireland or Poland. I've been looking at certain websites like geizhals.eu, but most of them only deliver within Germany.
Also, would that setup suit my needs and still be decent for the next ~4 years, or should I be looking at something else? My budget ideally is around 2000 euros. I don't really want to spend more than like 2600 euros unless it is extremely worth it.
Thanks!
Why is the Asus rog zephyrus g14/16 series so expensive compared to others? Based on just the specs, it's pretty mid.
Compared to Lenovo Slim 5, Slim 5 looks better in terms of specs here but still far cheaper than g16. Is it cause of the build or anything like? Which one would be better to invest on?
I recently got the G14 2022 on contract, with 6900HS and 6800S. The price itself was at €1999 for 32 GB/1 TB model with AniMe Matrix, which for my market is normal (given that it's the best laptop I could get that is available in store for reasonable money). Now, you can tell me how much I got ripped off for a year old model /s
Hey all, I was wondering if this is a good deal and if I should jump on it before it's too late? For context, I need a laptop for college, mainly for doing engineering work, some light gaming, and music production:

Hello I just got the Asus zephyrus G14 2023 model at Bestbuy for $999. And I just realized they have the newer model for $1599. Is it justifiable to get the new one for $600 more? It seems to have the same specs except for the aluminum body and OLED screen is it worth to get the newer one over this older model now which is at sale price?
Same as above
Specs:
AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS, NVIDIA RTX 4060-8GB, 16GB RAM/1TB SSD/3K OLED/14 inch/120Hz/
Price 165000 INR (1950 USD)
Asus unveiled the newly designed Zephyrus G14 at CES 2024 and oh what a disappointment it is. Somehow all the Youtubers are singing endless praises for it?!
The Zephyrus G14 always represented the pinnacle of portable performance pushing the boundaries of what a 14 inch laptop can achieve in terms of both CPU and GPU performance!
The 2023 Zephyrus G14 was the only laptop to pair a pheonix range 7940HS APU with a 125W 12GB RTX 4080M and 16GB 4090M which means massive performance gains over the pathetic 8GB 4070M while providing exceptional battery life due to the monolithic HS APU. Other laptops with 4080/90M GPU options only came with chiplet design 7045HX CPUs which resulted in terrible battery life. The 7940HS + 12GB 4080M/16GB 4090M literally made the G14 2023 a UNIQUE device!!
Unfortunately with the 2024 Zephyrus G14, Asus limited the GPU options at max to the lowly 90W RTX 4070M with a pathetic 8GB VRAM buffer!
For context, as per raw 3DM TimeSpy numbers: 140W RTX 4070M (just barely better than a 100W 4070M) scores 12800 points vs the 125W RTX 4080M in the 2023 G14 which manages a score of 16500 points i.e. 29% higher performance!! And that's not even counting the 8GB vs 12GB VRAM difference!! It's fair to say that NVIDIA is also a major scum here, absolutely knee-capping the 4070M with an AD106 die and 8GB VRAM and a voltage limit.
On top of this the 2024 G14 now has soldered ram going only up to 32GB!!! That's a deal breaker already!!
So yea, I'm not gonna make a big deal about the new design, I feel the iconic G14 design is now gone. I felt the old design was the perfect balance of gamery and minimalist aesthetic. It was also more functional with the ergo lift design clearing more space for more air-intake.
So overall with the removal of 4080M and 4090M GPU options, expandable ram and a generic design, the G14 no longer feels special and is just another 14 inch gaming laptop. What a damn shame.
Trying to buy ROG Zephyrus G14 2024 in europe with Ryze 9 8945HS 4070 and 32 ram. In germany on amazon it's 2.8k€
Should I buy the 2024 g14 4060 ryzen 7 right know in Canada for 2200 or wait for the 2025 one to come out and hope that the 2024 one will go on sale?
