I've used this exact one for about eight (?) years. Are there better? Sure. Does it work perfectly fine every single time? Absolutely. -- I've used it hooked to an old Sansui 6060 and now to a Yamaha AS501, works perfectly fine with both. I'll put it this way, if this one crapped out today, I'd be ordering another one. r/vintageaudio on Reddit: Best Bluetooth receiver for vintage receiver?
January 24, 2022 -

Hello! I have a Kenwood KR-4400 I am using for my turntable. For everything else, I am using an Aluratek universal Bluetooth receiver from Best Buy. I plug that into the AUX.

However, I noticed that it may not be the best quality receiver out there. Even though I am about 6 ft away from it, it would sometimes cut off audio if someone walked nearby or if something was blocking it.

Any other recommendations for Bluetooth receivers? I liked the Aluratek because of how small and inconspicuous it looked, but I am open for other ideas. Thanks!

r/vintageaudio on Reddit: Best way to add Bluetooth/streaming to vintage receiver?
May 15, 2023 -

I’ve got a Luxman RX102 “Suckface” that I just realized has a pre and main inputs. Sounds great using corded inputs and phono in for a TT. However, the tuner on it isn’t as sensitive as my other gear so it’s not my main amp. But, I think it could be useful for times when my wife or friends want to connect via bluetooth. I can run it in my main system via a switch and speaker selector. I connected my Aiyima T9 tube amp to it (via the aux out which is 3.5mm headphone to RCA adapter cord) just as an experiment and it works fine. That said, should I look into a dedicated streamer or pre amp that allows BT connectivity? My budget is broad but if I’m fine with the this setup since I already have it, no need to upgrade.

Bluetooth Adapter/Dongle for Vintage Stereo- Vinyl Engine
The absolute simplest way is to get a headphone-to-RCA cable, plug the headphone plug into a smartphone or tablet, and the other end into an empty line input (Aux, CD, Video, etc.) on the back of the receiver. Then just run your Spotify, Pandora, or Amazon Music app on the smartphone/tablet. Of course you could plug the cable into the headphone jack of an iPod or MP3 player and play that over a stereo system as well.

Just a way to get music to an old stereo's 3.5mm socket wirelessly. It'll be in one place so USB power would be fine. This UGreen receiver looks about right. UGreen is at least a recognisable brand, cheap but ok. I was looking at this mpow unit but no vendor ships it to NZ - ok brand again. ... I've got one of these. I don't use it a lot but it does the job quite well. https://www.amazon.com/TROND-Bluetooth-Transmitter...

Solved! - Best cabling choice from stereo receiver to Bluetooth transmitter | Tom's Guide Forum
December 11, 2019 - It is fixed volume so you won't overload the transmitter input the way you might with the headphone output. Speaker output would require a speaker to line level converter. Another advantage is you can use the wired speakers at the same time as the BT speaker. The volume of the wired speakers won't affect the BT speaker volume. ... It does not matter since once you hit the bluetooth transmitter you will loose whatever signal you had coming to it.
