My birthday is coming up soon and I was thinking of possibly going to a buffet for my birthday dinner, but the best affordable buffet in my area that I remember going to as a child, Hometown Buffet, is sadly out of business. My mom suggested Der Dutchman, and I looked and I don’t know, their winter hours seem to end awfully early for a dinner buffet. But maybe that’s just me cause I tend to have my dinner around 6-8 pm or so. My dad isn’t really into Chinese or other Asian foods and he’d be the one driving me wherever cause I’m incapable of driving myself. So that rules out a bunch of buffet places. Are there any other good buffet places that I should consider?
What are people saying about buffets in Columbus, OH?
"We went on a wednesday around noon. It was $15 per person for lunch. Drinks were $3. Restaurant is pretty new so everything was nice and clean. If you like sashimi or raw sushi, this place is for you as they had more variety for sushi. There was also a hibachi bar and pho bar. My favorites were the shrimp tempura basket, fish filet, hibachi, and rasberry mousse cake. I do like how organized everything was. They had all utensils/seafood crackers/etc. in one area of the buffet, as well as a napkin dispenser at each table. So you can pretty much get everything yourself which is convenient. The only thing we had to ask for was drink refills, which we had to chase down the wait staff for as service was slow. Overall not bad for $15. Would visit again."

What is the best Chinese buffet in Columbus?
IMO, the best buffets in Columbus are not "traditional buffets" but rather regular restaurants that offer a lunch buffet on the weekends, e.g. Panda Inn on Bethel, Imperial Garden on Hayden, Little Dragons on Morse. The choices are fewer, but the food is better (and MUCH more authentic). Basically their most popular dishes from the "Chinese menu" served all-you-can-eat.
If you're looking for the classic Americanized Chinese buffet, Supreme Buffet and Hong Kong Buffet are good choices.
