Do licensed Canadian titles count here?
Which entries best introduce this lineup?
How can I keep up with arrivals and renewals?
My top favorite series were:
•Vikings •Vikings Valhalla •Outlander •19-2 •Animal Kingdom •How to get away with murder •Yellowstone •The 100 (up to season 2...)
I went into Vikings expecting fluff, but the plot and performances blew me away. It’s now one of my top recs. For Netflix Canada fans, which show exceeded your expectations and made you recommend it to someone else? What was the hook that got you in?
One of the only good thing I watched on Netflix that was theirs was Arcane which I loved.
I like pretty much anything if it’s good
Animation, drama, horror, comedy as long as it’s good I’ll watch it.
Some things I have in mind: Ninjago, better call Saul, Shawshank redemption, Ozark, Dark, Love death and robots, DnD movie and the last kingdom
What recommendations y’all got to watch before my sub ends?
I know we have a ton of content out there and I’ve seen a bunch of it already. I thought this would be a good place to learn of some new shows I’ve never seen before or help spark others to check out a Canadian title rather than the same old American stuff.
Bonus points if you can let us know where to stream it. Sorry I’m stealing some of the more obvious ones.
I grew up with the Red Green show playing pretty much daily. I just discovered it’s all streaming on YouTube, though I couldn’t find it through a Canadian based service.
Corner Gas was another show that was on through my 20s, and one I watched regularly. Currently on CTV and Crave.
If your swelling Canadian Pride gives you an interest in the history of our nation, Canada: A People’s History was a fantastic series. It appears to be unofficially on YouTube, but the fact that it’s not legitimately streaming anywhere (looking at you, CBCGem) is criminal.
I know we have plenty more (Mr Dressup and Polkadot Door for kids, Letterkenny and Kim’s Convenience for non-kids, etc.), but I’m more curious to see what hidden gems come from the comments.
As they title says im looking for the best things to watch on Canadian Netflix that aren't available in the US
