Parent’s home, now mine, was built in early 80s, had top of line Stainmaster installed. Eggshell. It was great - any stain would come out - but now - not so much. Still have animals, still have accidents. Want to replace carpeting in great room - it’s exposed and hard flooring just will echo too much for my taste. Any recommendations on the ‘pet friendly’ carpet lines? PetProtect/Anderson Tuftex/etc? Thank you!

I'm replacing the old carpet in my house and have two Golden retrievers ....and looking for suggestions for carpet that holds up to dogs the best. I understand hardwood floors are better for pets and have that in the rest of my house , but also know I want carpet in the bedrooms. I would like something that feels great to the feet, but the more important thing to me is long lasting durability and ease of cleaning. I generally do massive research before purchasing things like this, and so far it looks like Nylon Berber is a top pick? Suggestions for CARPET ?

I’m guessing there is no miracle carpeting that you can easily clean pet stains off of and it never smells after that. But what’s the next best thing that’s still comfortable inside a home?

If it were me, I would just get hard flooring but the person I’m doing this for wants carpet.
