How should a gaming headset look?
Aesthetic considerations are also worth making. If you’re interested in a headset that you can use in front of other people on a video call or out and about, something a little more low-key is probably a good idea. Oddly enough, a handful of Razer‘s most recent headsets may fit that bill.
What is the most comfy gaming headset?
The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5X and Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (2023) are among the most comfortable, thanks to lightweight builds, plush padding, and breathable materials. If you wear glasses or game for long sessions, these headsets are easy on the head and ears. Just note that comfort can be subjective—clamping force and ear shape can vary from person to person.
What does buying a more expensive gaming headset get me?
A bit of insight. I’m primarily a solo gamer, I play by myself a lot & the games I do play are mostly single player. I’m looking for a new headset that can help me fully immerse into the game I’m playing.
I struggle with ADHD & misophonia, I hate a lot of noise & having too many distractions while gaming, it takes away my enjoyment because I’m unable to concentrate, so noise cancelling is an absolute must, probably the most important feature I’m looking for.
Comfort. I’m so tired of gaming headsets hurting my ears & head after wearing them for long periods of time. I need something light with a ‘premium’ feel, almost like I’m not wearing it I guess? I don’t want my ears sweating & hurting after two hours of gaming.
I’m willing to spend between £100-£200 ($135-$250), probably even more if it means I’ll get absolutely everything I’m looking for. I figure if I’m going to invest in a new headset I want it to be solid & last me a good few years, so with all that being said, what headset would you recommend? Any help would be appreciated!
Hey r/HeadphoneAdvice people, my current headset is straight-up garbage: constant disconnects, mic quality is awful, and the battery barely lasts. Been dealing with this for too long, so I’m finally upgrading. Looking for a wireless headset with solid audio, a clear mic, and good battery life that won’t die mid-session. Comfort is a big (I mean huge - as I wear glasses) deal too since I game for hours, and I don’t want something that crushes my head.
UPDATE: I got this one as it was the best one I found with top reviews for 2025.
I’m in the USA and looking to spend $150–$300, but I’ll stretch a bit if something’s truly worth it. Mostly using it for PC and PS5, so compatibility needs to be solid.
Sound-wise, I want good bass for immersion but not overpowering, plus a clear soundstage for FPS games. I also need a decent mic for voice chat, nothing crazy, just something that doesn’t make me sound like I’m in a tunnel.
Had a few headsets in the past, and I always run into the same issues: bad mic quality, weak battery life, or they just feel uncomfortable after a few hours.
Anyone got a go-to recommendation for 2025? What’s holding up well for you? I searched online and found a few, anyone using these?
