Looking for recs for a nice cooling king size comforter.
My husband and I are roasting each other.
Looking to spend upwards of $250-300
Thanks in advance!
I'm looking for something more cooling, as I get so warm at night. My room is the warmest in the house and I've tested it several degrees Fahrenheit warmer than the living room. I have the vent blowing but it doesn't work well.
Well I have a cotton comforter but it's a bit thick and I'm thinking to swap it out. Every brand I look into seems to have pros and then there is one or several comments with major cons. Here is what I've looked into so far.
Peru Pima: This one flew under the radar and I wasn't able to find much online but the people who had them did love them. I found a few comments saying they lost their softness after a wash and began to pill.
Rest Evercool: This one has tons of controversy, not being cooling, customer service, pilling, etc. At a glance it looks perfect but I'm not inclined to buy based on price and complaints.
Aeptom Eucalyptus Lyocell Comforter: An option I found after some digging but doesn't have much to back it up.
Sijo Clima TempTune Comforter: This comforter seems to fit the bill but there are complaints of returning and customer service being a nightmare.
And then there's a lot of opinions and reviews saying bamboo, but bamboo is really rayon and bad for you, cotton is the way to go, but then that rabbit hole goes deep too :P
Having to weed out who actually enjoys their comforter, and who is a paid ad, damn! What a world we live in. I feel bad for those who are less internet-savvy.
Can anyone recommend a cooling comforter or blanket that is high quality and not super thick? (if it's thick but cooling that's fine [I'm looking for something to keep me cool]).
TLDR: I can't find a good cooling comforter. Can anyone recommend or do you have any reviews based on the brands I mentioned?

Hey fellow furnaces of the night! I'm on the hunt for a legit cooling comforter that won't turn into a sweat trap by 2 AM. I've narrowed it down to two options but could use real-user experiences before pulling the trigger.
Option 1: Bedsure Cooling Comforter
Claims to use "3D airflow technology"
Bamboo-derived rayon cover
Medium weight (good for year-round use?)
Option 2: Evercool Comforter
Specifically markets to menopausal women (I'm not one, but if it works...)
"Phase-change" cooling fibers
Lightweight design
About me:
Sleep HOT (like, wake-up-drenched hot)
Mostly a side sleeper
Prefer something that doesn't feel plasticky
Need machine-washable
Hiya! Wondering if anyone can recommend a good comforter for my partner and I? We originally loved the feel of the MUJI comforter but they haven’t restocked their comforters in weeks and we can find anywhere to buy one. We are looking for something very soft that also works well for my partner who is a very hot sleeper! Any recommendations will be very appreciated! :))
I have always slept hot, and now I'm at that certain age in a woman's life ....
I've tried "cooling" mattress pads and those always get hot. I've not tried cooling sheets yet because I don't use a flat sheet. I'd love to save on the A/C bill this summer if anyone has had any success with a lightweight cooling comforter.
My boyfriend and I share a bed and his body heat at night is INSANE where he starts sweating and makes me sweat. I need recommendations for cooling comforter or sheets! And if they’re actually worth it…
I made a post yesterday about buying a Bamboo quilt from Quince. But have received mixed information about it not being cool. I guess if something is filled with polyester, it traps heat? I thought bc it’s thin, and it’s made of bamboo, it would keep me cool. I have a viscose comforter from another brand on Amazon that feels amazing and regulates my temp during the night, but it’s too short for my bed.
Any help is appreciated!!
I’m looking for a thin filled comforter not a duvet insert. I don’t want any hoops. As close to All organic materials as I can get (outside and fill). Preferably bamboo but not opposed to other organic materials as long as it’s cooling. Solid gray color preferably dark gray. I don’t mind stitching patterns but would prefer if it isn’t a busy stitching design. My budget is around $100 no more than $200.
I’ve been trying to find one myself but they either are not gray, duvet inserts, or used polyester.
Thanks in advance for your assistance
Searching for a cooling comforter that doesn’t trap in heat at night when I sleep. We run the apt ac temp low and have a fan going at night. I still get really hot at night and my comforter doesn’t help. Any recommendations?
My room is super warm all year long (and I live in FL). I am looking for a lightweight, cooling comforter. Preferably made of cotton or viscose and under $100.
I've been looking on Amazon but cannot decide.
Thanks!
This one. I cannot tell you how much better I’ve been sleeping with it and it’s only been about a month.
I personally use the casaluna comforter from target. It’s made of linen and it’s soft on the inside of it, perfect for summer and if you get a little chilly in winter just slap a second blanket or duvet cover on top! Additionally amazon has cooling mattress covers that help a lot
Not the most conventional question for this page, but has anyone had any luck finding a comforter that doesn’t make you sweat like crazy? I feel like bc it’s summer I get so much hotter easily & this comforter we’ve been using wakes me up at night bc I’m dripping sweat.
Thanks for your help!
I bought the coooling comforter and I like it better than my 140$ Ralph Lauren comforter. Not sure how I’ll feel about it for our cold winters but for the summer it feels like heaven. It feels like your laying on a cool fluffy cloud. Can’t recommend it enough
After posting a few months ago about upgrading my sheets, I ended up going with Cultiver linen and absolutely love my duvet cover and sheet set. With temps on the rise, I am looking to add a lightweight duvet to my bed and am looking for recommendations. So far it seems the lightweight duvets are polyfill with a cotton shell. I am currently looking at the West Elm Cooling Duvet but am open to all first-hand experiences and recommendations.
I need to sleep under something even when it's hot and I like the feeling of a lofty comforter in the winter. Is there such thing as a cooling comforter which still some feeling of loft/weight?
First, I'm going crazy trying to search for comforters, because comforter and duvet insert are apparently interchangeable terms.
I'm looking for a comforter that has even a little bit of cooling properties to it. I sleep hot, but I like big fluffy comforters. I'm thinking maybe a lyocell or rayon/bamboo, but so many of them are duvet inserts despite appearing in searches for comforters. Does anyone have any advice?
Are the coma inducers cooling comforters worth it at all? I don't mind paying extra if it means getting what I want. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!
Alternatively: Should I just buy a summer weight comforter? I've seen some recommend temps of being 70-90, that should keep me cool if I want my temps to be 65ish right?
It's heating up for the summer where I live and I have started to need to have the AC set to 65º F all night to sleep comfortably. I'd rather not use AC at all or have it set to a more reasonable temperature at least.
My main problem is that I am a pretty hot sleeper. During the winter my Quince all season down comforter and Quince linen duvet cover were great with the windows open to let cool air inside.
I also need to have some weight on me to sleep well, so I can't just get away with my top sheet to be cool. my down comforter is really the perfect weight for me, not too heavy but more weight than a thin poly filled comforter.
Are there any good comforters that will give me that weight without the sweat? I think I would like to try linen sheets as well, if anyone has a favorite brand. Thanks for any recommendations!
My title probably covered it all. No matter how low I turn my AC, I wake up sweating. My current comforter and duvet aren't great and I think both have polyester.
I'm an animal lover and can't support down or feather but I really miss the super plush company store down comforters my best friend had when we were kids. Basically I'd like it as plush as possible but not hot.
Does anyone have something like this that they can recommend?
