I want some recent good movies to watch with my 4yo kid! Preferably animations, but not necessarily. I would like something that’s fun to watch for everyone, so not aimed exclusively to kids either.
Also, since we are getting near Christmas, recommendations of the theme are also welcome (in this case, it doesn’t need to be only 2021/2022).
Thanks in advance!
Edit:
We watched The Mitchells vs. The Machines and loved it!! But thanks everyone for the recommendations! Some we have watched already, others I added to my list to watch in the near future!
Hi friends. I’m a late forties male. Married with three kids. One in early high school and the other two are primary school aged. We often watch films as a family and have a good time together. They tend to be from the Disney catalogue or similar.
Sometimes, like today, I want to flake out on the couch and watch something but I really struggle to find something I will actually enjoy that is suitable for the kids as well. I don’t really want or expect them to sit and watch it with me. It’s more that I want to be comfortable with them walking in and out.
I’m hoping that you wise people of Reddit can help me make a list of films I may actually enjoy that fit this category. No nudity or sex. No language. Steer clear of major adult themes. Minor violence probably ok but nothing gory.
I have started to take an interest in older films. Finally watched Casablanca a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. Annoyed I didn’t watch it sooner. So don’t shy away from older or even black and white films. I’m open to anything. Watched a lot of Elvis films and similar as a kid and liked them.
Please help me.
