hi :) i used to reaalllyyyy enjoy making and editing videos when i was younger, because my old school district used to pay for wevideo. when i transferred districts, they nixed my account because i was no longer a student there. also, i am graduated now, so i'd have to fend for myself regardless now anyway.

i have imovie on my macbook air, but it doesn't really do it for me, yknow? are there any good free softwares anyone would recommend? it's not for anything professional, just for a silly goofy hobby :)

What is some good Low Cost/Free Editing Software?

DaVinci Resolve if you're on PC. It has a Free version. The free version does what I need it to do. Has a lot of features available not locked behind a paywall. The Pro version has even more and it includes future updates and it's a one time payment. But free version should be all you need. Pro version is what film people use and such. Some say DaVinci Resolve has a steep learning curve... But since it was my first video editing software, I learned it just fine. It was actually easy. And there's lots of YouTube tutorials out there. I mainly just use the editing and publishing tab. But there's color grading and some other tabs that I've never used before. I think there's a sound mixed tab? And a media files tab? There's like 5 tabs at the bottom of the screen. And I only use 2 of them. More on reddit.com

Looking for a free video editor

Microsoft's ClipChamp is a simple but fine option. The only issue with it is that it needs the Internet to function. Alsp, Check out: Descript, OpenShot, Canva, HitFilm Free, VideoPad, and Shotcut (None leave a watermark). More on reddit.com
