Hi everyone! A friend and I are trying to make a list of spooky movies to watch this season. We have a few on the list but wanted to get some more recommendations. We are doing our movie search on Netflix, Hulu and Prime so if anyone has those streaming services and has some good picks let me know! Okay that is all thank you!! :)
What are the best horror movies on Netflix currently? They don’t have to be Netflix original just good. For context some of my favorite horror films are Hereditary, Creep, The Babadook, The Sadness, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and the original Speak No Evil.

I invited my nieces and nephwes for a Halloween party and one of the things that we are planning to do together is to watch a movie in Netflix. However, these kids are mostly young but are requesting if they can watch some movies for the Halloween. Any recommendations?
Any good Halloween horror films on Netflix maybe like set on Halloween or giving halloween vibes or about maybe like something halloween like pumpkins vampires ect
I've watched a handful of different scary movies this season, and I'm finding most that fit the 90-minute formula to be predictable and not have a lot of substance to them. Open to any recommendations, but especially ones with:
-
supernatural, paranormal, ghosts, hauntings, curses, killers
-
fresh concept
-
unique wardrobe or setting
-
characters with personality
-
characters with good chemistry (platonic or romantic)
-
good backstory
Please and thank you!
pref horror or thriller
I checked this sub but I could not find a thread like this, sorry if it already exists, please direct me.
Oh and no recommendations based on true stories.
Not on there yet but coming soon, Guillermo Del Toro's "Cabinet of Curiosities". Seems like short horror films all done by different directors, like an anthology series. I'm super excited for it.
Edit- here's the link to the wiki page
Hubie Halloween is a surprisingly good movie. (Comedy)
In a hotel for a few days and the only TV option is netflix (we’re getting out and having adventures also but will also have a lot of downtime for various reasons). What are the best horror movies available to stream there right now? Bonus points if there's no obvious social commentary/class warfare/clear allegories to racism, homophobia etc.. Usually a fan of that but honestly at this point I need a break. Looking for a horror movie to be a relaxing break from the horror of real life.
Wife and I finally got out from under a rock and have Netflix in our lives now. Still love Tubi but with Netflix at the helm please recommend some must see. Enjoy all kinds...slasher, paranormal, classics, obscure, modern.
I will peruse other's posts and lists but you never know who will see this post to recommend stuff too.
Will be stoked to finally finish Breaking Bad, see Castlevania, and check out Cobra Kai although not horror related.
Apologies if there have been too many "recommend me" posts but I appreciate it.
