So I'm looking to buy an optical mechanical keyboard because normal mechanical keyboards have insanely high latency and I've found a few but I don't know how they compare to each other since most of them don't list many specs. For example, how does the Aorus K9 compare the the Celeritas II? Which switches are better: Flaretech or LK Libra? Which ones support PS/2? What kind of keycaps do they use? etc
Edit: I'm not talking about Razer marketing; I'm talking about the insanely high (in the tens of ms range) debouncing delay that's added on metal contact switches to prevent lots of returns due to defects.
I’ve been looking at getting a Razer huntsman mini or special edition. What switch option would be best for response time in game and can u adjust the actuation point of them?
I'm thinking of getting a GK61 and Amazon has multiple options for what switches it comes with and all options are gateron opticals. So my question is whats the best gateron optical switch. Im looking for a quite linear switch that is low profile, yet still precise when gaming and smooth when typing.
Note: I'm not an expert, this is just what I've found from other reddit posts / research. I wanted a fully optical mouse for the durability / longevity / ability to hotswap the switches. Note that "fully optical" does not include side buttons as they are non-essential, and seemingly all mice use mechanical side buttons. Please comment if you have found any others or if I made mistakes.
Fully optical:
Lamzu Paro (wireless)
RAWM Leviathan V4 (wireless)
Razer Cobra Hyperspeed (wireless)
Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro (wireless)
Razer Basilisk V3 (wired) / V3 Pro (wireless)
Razer Naga Pro (discontinued) / Naga V2 Pro (wireless)
Lenovo Legion M7 (wireless)
Logitech G502X (wired) / G502X lightspeed (wireless) -((hybrid optical/mech switches))
Cooler Master MM720 (wired), Cooler Master MM730 (wired) -(discontinued, check ebay?)
Entire Bloody A series I think? (A60, A60L, A70, A70x, A88, A90, AL90) - The A70x actually looks good. I believe the L versions have upgraded sensors.
Honorable mentions:
Logitech G Pro X 1 and 2 have full hotswap boards available from sites like aliexpress, taobao, etc. Ex: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006763342753.html
Logitech G303 Shroud. It has an optical scroll encoder and you can buy a pcb to be able to hotswap the mechanical switches here:
https://shop.facfox.com/product/logitech-g303-shroud-hot-swappable-microswitch-pcb-board/?v=3e8d115eb4b3 (I think that's the only optical scroll mouse that they offer a hotswap pcb for?)
Vaxee and Zowie also use optical scroll encoders, but with mechanical switches. Not a bad option though, they seem to be highly praised for their overall quality. You could hotswap mod the switches yourself if you're daring.
Semi-honorable mentions (Mechanical scroll encoders and hotswap mech switches):
Ironcat / Incott HPC01MPro (wireless)
Ironcat / Incott HPC02Pro / HPC02MPro (wireless)
Zaopin Z2 (wireless)
IFYOO G03 (wireless)
Asus ROG mice, not sure if it's all of them or only a few
