Hi all, I am trying to convert this photo of me and my partner into an anime style. Specifically I wanna experiment with ghibli, cyberpunk, or evangelion-like styles. I want to maintain the pose, outfits, and their colors but convert the background into some kind of fantastical world. I also need high enough resolution that I can print and frame it. What tool will allow me to do this best? I started with openart.ai but couldn't seem to find a way to start with an image and simply recreate it in another style and then allow tweaks through the prompt - kept completely losing the any real reference the comp, outfits, colors. Oddly, I seemed to get closest with artguru.ai but it doesn't really give any control for me to tweak the results/iterate or really change the background area plus its small.

Is this possible with stable diffusion?

I tried using img2img, and controlnet with openpose, but I don't know how they were able to keep all the details of the image in the output pic. Any idea on how I can accomplish this?

Sorry if this is a FAQ. I'm trying to thank someone by turning a photo of them into an anime style picture (they're into anime). A Google and Reddit search didn't turn up much. Is there anything out there?

I don't have the artistic skills to do it manually in Photoshop, GIMP, etc.

I wanted to do a gift for my friend who is a huge anime fan. We have some joint photos that I want to make anime themed. What I was thinking was generating first the background, then animate ourselves, remove the background and plot them onto the background. Like the title says. May be a dumb question but Google hasn't helped. Tried Anything and a few others, but I can't get the effect I want. I want anatomy such as the nose size, eye shape, lips etc to be carried over to the anime style image so it really looks like the person and not an anime approximation. It seems the way I'm doing it, it's just the vague hair style, skin color and eye color of the original image.

Anyone have any tips or suggestions?
