Im looking to start learning React and would like recommendations for good tutorials. Preferably some that explain each concept thoroughly with good illustrations. Im familiar with html css and have seen some javascript before but apart from that im an absolute beginner.
thanks
Edit: thanks for the suggestions! I'll start reading the docs to begin with and then when i finish that i'll most likely check out the udemy course and that beginner youtube series https://youtube.com/playlistlist=PLeJ7L1yWDo3EWWNFNOi3aSLuukQc2X39N&si=NVkBHrUiPDd-EJsS
How's Jonas Schmedtmann's course on Udemy?
I have his JS course and it's pretty good but know nothing about his React course:
The Ultimate React Course 2024: React, Next.js, Redux & More | Udemy
Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

Hello, I am looking for a course where I can learn React with all the details (dom mechanisms, ref mechanisms, react mechanisms, how react works, context etc.. ) I am looking for a very advanced and detailed course. Do you have any recommendations?
The courses on the internet that I find in general tell standard things, but I want to be a senior with all the details. Are there any courses you recommend for this?
Hey everyone! 👋
I’m looking to seriously learn React.js and would love some recommendations for a good online course. It can be free or paid, as long as it provides solid explanations of both the basics and more advanced topics (hooks, context, Redux, etc.).
Do you have any tried-and-true courses you’d recommend? Thanks in advance for your suggestions! 🙌
Which courses would you recommend to learn React JS. I'm planning to use it for the frontend since I'm focusing Java Spring to take care of the backend, but I have no problem with a react fullstack course.
I'm looking for some help in choosing the best course to learn ReactJS.
I have two courses that I am considering
-
The Ultimate React Course 2024: React, Redux & More - Jonas Schmedtann
-
React - The Complete Guide 2024 (incl. React Router & Redux) - Maximilian Schwarzmuller
However, I am open to any other suggestions that you may have.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Hi what's the best react course ? I been thinking between Andrew Mead,Maximilian or Jonas Schmedtmann. I read mixed reviews about Maximilian. And I really like Jonas as I done he's HTML and Js course but I don't know how he's React course is. I heard Andrew mead is very good aswell.
I already work in React Js as a front end developer, and want to restudy and maybe add a bit to my knowledge
What do you guys suggest buying from the three below courses :
-
This One says next js in the description(i had in mind to learn Next js after mastering React js): https://www.udemy.com/course/react-the-complete-guide-incl-redux/?couponCode=2021PM25
-
This one says MongoDb which am not so into: https://www.udemy.com/course/node-with-react-fullstack-web-development/?couponCode=2021PM25
-
https://www.udemy.com/course/the-complete-web-development-bootcamp/?couponCode=2021PM25
Which one do you recommend i should go with ?
Hi!
I'm looking to teach myself ReactJS / NextJS, which of these courses are better in your opinion and why? Also - I do not have TS experience, only JS.
https://www.udemy.com/course/the-ultimate-react-course/?couponCode=MT150725G1
https://www.udemy.com/course/react-the-complete-guide-incl-redux/?couponCode=MT150725G1
I can only purchase one.
Also these courses are crazy long, 70+ hours...will appreciate if anyone can provide some advice on what items would be bare minimum for me to cover so I can "learn something" and then branch out myself from there as and when something is required.
Thanks heaps!
I just learned javascript and i think i am ready to move into react library, I used some youtube videos and hands on exercises to learn javascript. I need to help to find the best source for learning reactjs in a way to assist my projects and to get placed. Please provide some good sources.
Any tutorial/guide/YouTuber to suggest?
I know it has been discussed before but I am still struggling to choose between these three courses. All the previous discussions are either a year old and have been complaining about update issues or have mixed reviews. As of today, which one of these courses would you guys recommend to go with?
Modern React with Redux [2023 Update] (by Stephen)
React - The Complete Guide 2023 (incl. React Router & Redux) (by Max)
The Ultimate React Course 2024: React, Redux & More (by Jonas)

As part of our companies migration to React, my team and I took the ZTM course "Complete React Developer (w/ Redux, Hooks, GraphQL)" as an intro to the language and concepts.
I found it to be very thorough and enjoyable. The instructor's were clear and easy to understand and the code repos were extremely helpful along the way.
The content has been updated several times since, and the course not only including React basics, but also content in several other topis, such as Netlify, Firebase and Stripe.
I really enjoyed how they built up the project, they continued to enhance it by using different coding strategies. For example it was coed originally using js - then converted to typescript.

I've been learning from Maximilian Schwarzmüller's React course for a couple of weeks now and damn he makes things confusing. He's always going back and forth on how you should write code etc. I'm trying to persevere with his course but struggling to learn from him. I feel if I keep trying to push through his course, I'll just be even more confused and everything I would've "learnt" would be a blank. I've been told to have a look at Stephen Grider's course (he updated it recently) as well as Colt Steele's course, but I'm open to other courses.
Don't get me wrong, I think Max is an excellent developer and he knows his stuff, but I struggle to learn from him.
Hi,
I've seen this question asked before, but the responses tend to be beginner courses from Udemy.
Are there any really good intermediate to advanced React courses? Especially courses that get to the point rather than painfully dragging the content out over 30 hours.
I mean, I don't mind if the course is 30hrs, but I'm looking for a course that moves quickly and gets to the point without all the fluff. Explains advanced concepts and gets you ready to the be the best React developer on the team (well maybe not the best React dev on the team, but you know what I mean).
Is there anything that hits the mark?
Edit: I'll just add, https://reactresources.com/ seems to be a really good site for learning resources. Not updated in a while, but looks like a good collection of resources nonetheless.
