Hi friends, I am in need of a laptop that has the following specs as I'll be using it for heavy programming-related work (incl data science, etc.)

Must-haves

CPU: i7 and above
Screen Size: Ideally ~15 inch, but anything bigger than 14 inch and <=16 inch would be good
RAM: 32GB or above
Storage: Ideally 1GB SSD (more is ok)
Weight: Ideally less than 2kg (4.4 lbs)

Budget

not the top-most priority since I'll be using this laptop for a pretty long time, so I'd rather prioritize performance and longevity.

I think the touch-screen will help filter out a lot of options, which is good.

My Lenovo ideapad fell apart (literally) after 8 years, so please help me look for a new laptop.

My budget is around $1200, I need something -

lightweight, I move around a lot,
good battery life (6 hrs plus)
i7+ core
If possible, touch screen, but not a must

I don't need it for gaming, streaming etc, just Internet use and work stuff. I'm potentially open to a 2 in 1, I would love something that lasts as long as my old one!

I'm looking at getting a new laptop during the sales. Due to it being used for pixel software, as well as casual vinyl cutting software, I'm edging more towards the 2-in-1 designs as it would be useful to use the touchscreen (I'm not at all fazed about being able to fold the keyboard to turn it into a tablet).
