Im a web developer. Here’s a few things you should know: STAY AWAY FROM GODADDY. Doesn’t matter what promotion they’re running. They have the worst costumer support and the worst infrastructure. Web devs hate working with them for a reason. don’t couple your booking/scheduling with your site. If you ever need to change platforms you can’t take it with you because it’s proprietary to that service you built it with. Use a third party service to handle that OFF your site. Generally you get a link to add to a button or something so when they click “schedule consultation” it goes away from your site and to the third party site where that action takes place. Do it this way. Much easier and you’re not tied down to one platform. It can go where you go. do you want the site to rank and bring in more traffic online? If so, page builders will hinder that. It’s not enough to just make a site anymore. It’s not a field of dreams - just because you build it doesn’t mean they’ll come. Google has what’s called mobile first indexing and the core vitals metrics. Mobile first indexing means they rank your site based on your mobile performance scores. And the core vitals are metrics google added to the algorithms a couple years ago to favor sites with optimal performance and user experience. Page builders fail all these metrics because their code is bloated and full of crap that you can’t get rid of. And if you’re doing it yourself, you don’t know how a website should be structured, how to write content to rank in google and what order it goes in for the maximum conversation rates, let alone doing design which is a whole beast in of itself. There’s a lot that goes into making a good website versus a good enough website. So if you want it to perform and grow the business and rank, you need someone who knows what to do to make google happy. if you just need a site for basic online presence with no regard for ranking or converting traffic into customers and you don’t have a budget, just use a webflow template. They’re a little pricier but their code is better and it’s possible to get better page speed scores and their templates tend to look better.
