Can I install Bluetooth in an older car?
What is the easiest way to add Bluetooth to my car?
Is it worth upgrading my car stereo for built-in Bluetooth?
Hey guys! I’m hoping yall can help me out with this! I’ve got a 2014 maxima and can control calls and stations but don’t have access to bt music ;-; So if possible can you guys give me some recommendations on a bt aux adapter, or another route if you have one :D!
Are you sure you have it set up correctly? It seems odd that a car from 2014 would have Bluetooth but not for music. My wife has a 2013 Altima (so Nissan and not as nice as your Maxima) with the lower-end stereo (non-touch) and it still has support for BT A2DP. Try deleting it out of your phone and pairing it again.
If you do end up having to get an adapter for whatever reason, DON'T get one of the cheap ones that broadcasts over FM. The quality is absolute crap. Find one that will connect through the Aux port on your radio.
Ngl I can’t remember the name but at Walmart mainly in the checkout/snack thingies you can find a cheap about $10 Bluetooth adapter. And tbh they’ve work find imo. I tried the “same” one from autozone (they look the exact same) but the autozone was just terrible with static
Try that first. If you do happen to have static with the Walmart one (I haven’t but it could happen) just return it and get another They are in both my parents cars and they’ve worked great for what you need it for, which is for bt audio Only replaced one after 5 years the mini battery went back, and even then it still worked plugged in 24/7 to a micro usb cable
