I see you posted this a long time ago did you ever fix this? I had the similar problem it would make a low tone no matter what level of noise was produced. I found a fix for it. First I am using the pro. Currently it is connected with a Aux extender and a USB extender as it is short. I found that it ONLY made the noise while it was charging or plugged in with the USB. While troubleshooting more I found it only made noise when it was plugged into a hub connected to my computer. I plugged it into a external power source and the noise went away. How do I pair Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones with my mobile device?
First, make sure your headphones are turned on with the slider switch in the middle “On” position. Next, slide and hold the switch to the Bluetooth icon until the Bluetooth LED flashes blue or when the voice prompt indicates the headphones have entered into pairing mode. Please note, if this is your first time connecting the headphones, they will automatically turn on into pairing mode. Voice prompts will provide you with additional guidance. Got an open box airfly pro a couple days ago and it works really well!
Connecting it to bluetooth headphones was really easy, the battery life is very good, and the connection hasn't dropped/stuttered once! I haven't charged it since I got it, and I've used it for more than 8 hours straight with no issues!
I was worried about the tiny cable wearing out, so I got a 90° aux extension cable and have been twisting and tucking it into my diy ipod sock!
TLDR: If anyone is looking for a reliable bluetooth transmitter/reciever, I highly recommend this Airfly pro!
